I always call the lottery the voluntary tax.
Here in New York, lottery money was supposed to go to education. At least that's what they told us when they made gambling legal. The Mafia used to run this scam (called running the numbers). Now the government criminals are running it , and somehow they're always looking for a fee or tax to raise for education money. Go figure.

Wonder where the billions they make on the lottery goes?

Fear not Nixie, this story is a hoax.

I can tell just by the way it was written.

And does this guy look familiar?

He's Tony Mokbel

en.wikipedia.org...

Not Paul Horner...

*yawns*

It was a figure of speech.

I can promise you wannabe troll, that I am far more use to the planet then you, since I have more self esteem and interact with people instead of having no self esteem and having nothing better to do then sadly trolling a conspiracy site.

People who are well off shouldn't even be allowed to buy tickets or claim them if they did. This is beyond sickening and I hope he falls into a ten mile deep hole.

Thankfully, I'm calling BS on this one, simply because on our local news earlier they said that no one has came forth as of yet.

Here's a nice little article that's rather informative.

The downstate winner — who Jones said had not yet come forward — along with the Maryland and Kansas winners, will each receive $213.3 million before taxes.

Your news source is not very reputable. No other news source is reporting this man as the winner. Don't believe every thing you read.

That is what I was thinking. That is one poorly written article as well.

ETA : I see someone has proven it is a hoax.

If it is true, it is obviously rigged. Unfortunately.. but no surprise. What more can you expect? Rick Santorum's got some serious contacts on the inside if so.

I wouldn't know what to do with that much money. Never had it, don't need it.

I would be very happy to pay off my house & property ($90,000) and buy a newer truck and a newer vehicle for my wife.

It was supposedly going to schools in California. 50% that is... for a while anyway. Now, who knows? And you are right about the numbers racket gone "legit". Same with the insurance industry. It used to be called "protection". You pay us money and we see nuttin' happens to your business. If you don't, well we send the boys around to explain it to you. Now a days the boys are the cops and they impound your car if you don't have "protection".
By Law.
