Aww that video is nice :')

I didn't cry though, and I blame you OP for saying that it was staged, I tend to only cry at genuine depictions of human affection. It was still very good though.

Ohh wow, that literally just choked me up for minute, what a beautiful message

I don't watch vids like these very often, because I run away from my own empathy.

Does anyone else have to do that? I'm a hard faced cow most the time, and I do not sympathise with many people who have made their own path in life .....

But when a PERSON, or an ANIMAL....feel pain, are hurting, are lost, confused, and are not thriving on this planet, they way that nature intended....just for a split second, I am them. I'm in there shoes, and I can literally FEEL their anguish.

I have to mentally block it out, because its the worst feeling I've ever felt....It pains me so much that there is so much wrong in this world, and apart from my own little contributions of goodness, there's not a lot I can do make things right. I could be having a perfectly fine day, and stumble across a single thought that makes me not want to be a part of this hell hole.

I wish things were RIGHT

ETA: And for the people above who don't understand what this message holds because it came from an advertising company, don't be so darn ignorant, even if one of the "evil" companies in this world could share a message of inspiration, we should appreciate it, not demoralise it!!

Sorry about your dad, my mom went almost blind just before she passed away and it was a terrible thing to witness.
Thanks for the nice post.

I wasn't trying to be horrible, i meant to put a little jokey face in there but forgot to

I kind of contradict myself though, I can cry at movies, but not short staged videos, not matter how touching

I be a robot.

That is ok because we all see things in a different light and some of us see and some don't

I don't get it either. All I saw was a commercial for a marketing company called Purple Feather. These folks are just demonstrating how effective they can be by getting a lot of views on YouTube. I'm a little surprised more people didn't notice

You are quite correct. Here's the speel from their Youtube page

We're Online Content Specialists
Content optimisation and web strategy are Purplefeather's areas of expertise. Perhaps your website, blog, newsletters and email campaigns crave the magic touch of our SEO copywriting services? Or maybe we can help you develop an effective online marketing strategy using social media, online articles and press releases? Find us at purplecontent.co.uk...

But.....they've demonstrated they are actually quite good at what they do....I may even consider hiring them

BTW.....the vid was filmed in my home town and I can assure everyone that we do not have blind people begging on our streets.

Thanks for your reply and your honesty in that post,
I did say in my OP it was a fabricated video and that is not in dispute.
However It sure made me and many posters here feel a bit of joy just seeing some sort of compassion here on this planet.

I cannot assure you that we don't have blind people here in our city in need of some compassion.
Population of about 78 thousand or so.

Well I hope you felt at least a slight tug at your heart watching the video.
Thanks again for your input,
Regards, Iwinder

I would say that anyone who is blind would consider any day beautiful if they could only see it.
Think about it for a second.

Thank you for this thread. I had read the same story a few years ago, and even in print it left a lasting impression. The video, whether or not, its used as a marketing scheme should tug at the heart strings even it they are in tied knots.

If we are so BIG as not to be moved by its meaning, then we become even smaller for our own ignorance. "Words" are just one letter away from being "worlds". Think about how you can change someone's state of mind or the outcome of a situation simply by words you choose to react with. Positive thoughts, positive results.

I was in a lecture today with Nischala Joy Devi and in a discussion of the Yoga Sutra I.33, she used the example that even though a person may be dieing of cancer because they are a smoker, it does not mean we should not feel compassion for the pain & suffering they are going through. Showing compassion to others may cost us nothing but to the receiver it can be invaluable. And your own personal worth is enhanced by it.

Namaste,
YogaGinns
