Gas supplies flowing through the Bacton terminal in Norfolk have fallen from 15 million cubic metres to six million cubic metres because of the Total leak and the company’s share price collapsed by 7 per cent yesterday. However, a Total spokesman said: ‘Long-term the market will respond and we can always get gas from other places, like St Fergus in Peterhead, or Teesside.
