FEMA chief says agency bracing for 'maximum' disaster

I think they are doing what they are supposed to be doing for once.
Prepare for the worst hope for the best.

Not preparing leads to some real disasters as has been shown time and again (also happening right now in my country)

If you live in a populated area, there will be no "going" as the roads will be jammed tight for days on weeks. If you live in an area where people will "go" to then why have a go kit?

Bug out is for when the immediate vicinity your dwell is within will most certainly be delivering your death. Otherwise it is always much easier to pick off scurrying cockroaches when they bolt into the open instead of burrow deep in the cracks. Establishing community fortifications is the only hope against the human locusts that will be raiding for food, water, ammo, children, alcohol, antibiotics, and fuels.

I say...these are last ditch attempts to keep those shackles of fear on as many people as they can convince of these things...trying to scare everyone because they are losing their grip and they know it...and it is for real and for ever and they've lost...

FEMA is literally the Federal EMERGENCY Management Agency. Saying that they are bracing themselves for disaster is like saying the number 1 is equal to itself. They are SUPPOSED to be bracing for maximum disaster. If FEMA comes out and says "it's all going to Hell and we're not preparing at all" then you can raise an eyebrow.

There's an Island called La Palma in the Canary Islands. It is a volcanic island and is under the watchful eye of the scientific community.

They are concerned that if the volcano goes, then billions of tons of the island will drop into the sea, causing a massive Tsunami that will be about 600 feet high and inundate the entire East Coast of America.

That's the disaster FEMA might be watching out for.

Or another possibility is the Volcano at Yellowstone. That is a giant one and when it erupts it will cover entire states with an ash cloud.

In each case billions of dollars in property damage will happen and millions of people will be killed.

It sounds as if they are expecting one to happen.

Hurricanes happen every year.....yet nobody expected the levy to break and for Katrina to happen as it did.

FEMA is now run by DHS run by CIA

so they're hardly bracing

praying/arranging for maximum chaos is more like it
