Hey,I was wondering where me and a friend could go camping and small game hunting in southern california. Were just gonna use .22s and maybe shoot some rabbits or squirrels.

Not sure if you can hunt small game in Cali- I'll hit up a park ranger friend, and get back to you when she gets back to me, if you don't have an answer soon.

I've had just enough to drink tonight to ensure that I do NOT give other members hell for not utilizing the tools here...double negatives aside.

Either way, happy hunting...

Just one thing...If ya kill the the game, you must eat it. You won't be sorry unless you're a bad cook.

If ya just wanna plink, bring plenty of cans. You can't eat those but they are still fun to shoot with a .22.

I used to camp up on the backside of big bear when I was stationed at Pendleton. It was a beautiful place.
