Mostly, my music choices depend on my mood.
I can find examples of nearly every genre that I like, if I'm in the mood for it.
For rocking out, I like some Metallica, Dethklok, Nine Inch Nails, Guns N Roses...or some Linkin Park
Old school, I like the Eagles (Hotel California), the Bee Gees (Stayin' Alive), the Beach Boys (I Get Around), and 50's rock (Rock Around the Clock,
Great Balls of Fire, etc.), even a little Motown (Very Superstitious by Stevie Wonder)
I love just about all 80's music, even 80's rap (back when they used to rhyme and follow the melody). (like 2-Live Crew, NWA, Run DMC, Beastie
Boys). Most modern rap simply sucks though.
There's even some country I like (though mostly the more humorous songs). I guess now that I'll be living in the country and riding horses, I'll
have to get more used to this....As more and more country songs are crossover hits, I'm hearing more and more of them.
I also love anything by Enya...if I'm feeling like I want to relax. Half the time, I don't even know what language she's singing in, but I don't
really care...
I also love anything by the Cranberries (especially In My Dreams)
I also enjoy Classical music, especially the Baroque era, and Bach (and pretty much anything with Harpsichord). Vivaldi is nice too. Never cared for
Beethoven much. TSO (Trans Siberian Orchestra) is pretty good as they fuse rock and classical. I try and catch them in concert each year.
I've also got some guilty pleasure favorites that I'd probably never admit to in mixed company (no boy bands though). I'm a sucker for a gal with a
sexy voice, and/or a British accent, so I'll give you one...The Spice Girls. Sorry, but love listening to them.
