Predator is a unique machine vision algorithm developed by student Zdenek Kalal for his PhD thesis at the University of Surrey in the UK. Having
worked on machine vision software myself I know how good this system is. Best of all you can download the source but unfortunately it requires
MatLab
The algorithm is surprisingly simple and performs extremely well. I guess this guy has a bright future.
The video shows Predator performing a variety of difficult machine vision tasks tracking objects rotated in 3 dimensions and at different scales.
Of course the algorithm is being commercialised by his company TLD Vision tldvision.com...
Oh yeah. I can see this being implemented in new weapons systems whether it be smart missiles, smart bombs or smart bullets.
Could you imagine having this type of tracking system on your sniper scope with computer augmentation?
this is dope i hope he keeps his illumination drive passion and thirst; hes rich in the proper way. this can be used for huds, vr, commercial
enterprise and military console applications, marketing, social maintenance and security.
