The MSM reason for gas jump

OK, I just heard the most stupid reason for the gas price jump, They say it's due to reformulated gas, and it's a summer blend. That one there made me laugh, do they think we are stupid.. at 1:20 is when they mention about It's a summer blend. Here's the link to video Didn't know where to stick this

Op: hahaha, yeah it's not artificial scarcity at all. This reminds me that the gas can (for my emergency generator) has to be refilled because I still have the autumn formula in it

Seriously ATS. You automatically scoff at this because it is on the MSM. Though you do a quick search online and see it on howstuffworks and then believe it. So now it's prejudice about the MSM, not the facts that matter? Surely if they are lieing on the MSM, they would also be on HSW. Also the other way around.

Isn't that how it should be? Question what they say untill you go look at the facts behind the story. It's what I did, and learned something. It's better than taking what they say as gospel, is it not?

I would have thought people would have the sense to do the reading before the proclaiming on the internet, would save everyone alot of trouble.

There are actually two "blends" that I am aware of.
Both are formulated to each season, winter and summer.

Herein lies the problem that the MSM won't tell you:
Gasoline stockpiles are at the highest in months, maybe years.
We have so much surplus inventory of raw gasoline, we are selling it over seas.
Our demand is at an all-time low, also.
Search....the answers are out there.

The price of gas is purely based off speculation these days, because its still legalized gambling.
Decades ago when the market was driven off supply and demand...
Most oil prices would hover and remain unchanged for months sometimes years.

Now, prices can jump up or down in a matter of minutes.
Some say the internet caused this, I say it's an excuse to rob people.
Which is highway robbery.
And should be outlawed.


But we all make the same mistake and keep bending over to ask politely for more.
For some strange reason, instead of making a stand and fighting to drive the market ourselves...
We just keep buying it, and buying it, with no chance of boycott or strike ever.


This country is too worried about making a buck rather than saving a buck.

Yep, you would think that. You would also think that worrying about our emissions is stupid when a few volcanoes and some methane bubbles from the ocean can produce more greenhouse gasses than we could ever even think about competing with.

But that isn't the case. Unfortunately in my arrogance I thought It was baloney.
I didn't edit my post to look like I knew it all along either, as a reminder of my slip up

The real reason is greed. Plain and simple.If it is a supply and demand issue, how is it that the oil companies are recording record profits quarter after quarter?

It's not for you I worry, you did the right thing in the end. For each one of you there are 100 more here on ATS who will make the judgement of bull based on it being from MSM and then never read anymore.

It wasn't so much a personal dig at you but more of the dogma that is blooming here on ATS
