Firstly, please don't think that I am saying this idea should be implemented.
It is simply an idea I would like to discuss and expand on, likewise have its probably obvious flaws pointed out.

What about a system of government where what politician is in power is irrelevant.
How?
By having the people vote on the issues and not which party will decide on the issues.

Politicians are meant to serve the people anyway, this way they would only be implementing what the public wants; not deciding for them.

The fact is people don't really know what they are voting for at the moment. This could be a way to get people educated about the issues.

it would be just a matter of time before the crooks start bribing the people.

get rid of the monetary system is the only way. creed, crime, violence will be extinct.

i watch the TROM documentary on youtube and it makes perfect sense to me.

everything can be solved by education and getting rid of money

Thats a good idea S&F

My only problems with it is who would be who gets to count the votes, and how would we know they aren't rigging it?

Also, would this be done electronically? would we have to vote on how to vote?

Also, in case of an urgent emergency, how would a decision be made in time to take proper precautions? Would we develop a "just in case" plan?

If so, who would implement the "just in case" plan?

Good idea though

True, I guess all ideas depend on people not being corruptible tho.

I agree, the monetary system is causing a huge majority or our current problems. Poverty breeds crime.

Education is only as good as the person teaching it.

Well just like with the current system there would be ways of doing it, but anything is open to manipulation and corruption.
I'm not really sure on how it would be done.

Maybe we could vote on our response to emergency before they happen?

Hmm... it seems there would still have to be a group of "elites" if you will, to oversee that what is voted for is implemented..

It could be done with 100% transparency.
Group of people watch the votes go in, follow the vote box to an area where all the votes are called publicly.
Make it that anyone is welcome to follow the vote box or something.

It would really take the interest and action of the people to make something like this work.

There would need to be full accountability.

Well the only way to ensure that nobody gets more privilege than others would be if every member of society was actively counting the votes, that would be horribly disorganized.

its called direct democracy, and it has alot of fans like me.

i am also trying to raise awareness of a similar system, and offering people the chance to contribute to designing the system.

i am not however allowed to recruit on this website.

i suggested a direct democratic republic. using technology to give each person a direct say in as much or as little of governance as they chose.

many people bagged it, and just as many jumped in to support it.

the idea is popular amongst people who are completely disenfranchised with the systems.

if you want to discuss more specifics with me, PM and i will chat to you (:

i have a thread somwhere, join in there too if you like

I'd like to see a government system based on how science works myself.

That is, propose a hypothesis, test it out to see if it works, then implement it if it does work.

With the input of the people, not the corporations.

The elite already have a few ideas up their sleeves to keep control. Do some research on the third way and new collectivism.
