How is moving a joystick and hitting a button training for terrorism? Most of little kids that play Call of duty just aim and hold down the trigger
(spray and pray) and they get kills because that game is the most unrealistic game ever. All of the call of duties are too user/noob friendly.
C'mon they are desperate for recruits. They need to know the right people to fly their drones.

They do not want yours lol. They want the ones Iran and others have used to learn how to guide missiles, I am sure some people may be recruited on their ability to dog fight like the Germans have been doing all along.
Online games do provide alternate means of communications. Though I'm not sure how many video game companies have servers dedicated to storing
recorded audio transmissions from players. I strongly doubt consoles would contain such information either because their hard drives would fill up
very quickly. It is possible for a keylogger to record every keystroke a person makes, but I have yet to hear of a voicelogger. I know that it is also
possible for a hacker to activate and see through your computers webcam and listen through your mic, but I have yet to hear of this happening to a
console. Online communication via consoles may actually be one of the least monitored methods of social interaction.

Maybe they need more ideas how to use the weapons and tech to kill more people,or they want to know how to properly teabag there opponenents
or they want free download cont people already have on their harddrive,other than that you really dont have much on your game harddrive.
On the show future weapons i think it was the military had some type of supply vehicle that you controlled with an xbox controller.

The US navy has just contracted a company called Obscure Technologies to buy up second-hand consoles and develop computer forensic tools for extracting data stored on the hard drives.

My guess is, this is to develop electronic warfare techniques.
Imagine if the Army, Navy or Airforce wanted to buy used cars in order to test artillery rounds. If they wanted to data mine xbox users, they could simply go to xboxlive.com and look up the users score that way. Unless they are after Credit Card numbers, the only thing that would be lost isn't privacy, but a boatload of money the Navy is spending on this.

ps2 is too slow it can barely play games from a usb stick.

Think about 1 x XBOX 360 or PS3 could brute force 1600 passwords/sec probably more.
They can hook up hard drives thru usb and do several passes over a harddrive to recover hard drive contents. Not your game details.
This might lower their costs down with power consumption.
Sounds like a good plan how compact are these things. imagine a warehouse full of them now that would be some power.
