I discovered ATS yesterday by accident while researching Budd Hopkins. Back in the early '80's, I sent a written account to his organization of what I remember about possibly being abducted in 1976. I am interested in everything that has ever been written about alien abductions but I am especially interested in the feeling safe during the experience. The following is what I wrote in 1980:

"In the first second it registered that someone in a space suit was doing something to my leg. I think I started to panic but then he looked at me through the helmet. After that, I only remember thinking that his eyes were kind, like Jesus. I felt completely safe. I don't know what happened after that. But I remember those two or three seconds like it was yesterday. At the time, I didn't know whether it was a man or an alien. He was the same size as a human but I couldn't see inside the helmet. I couldn't see his eyes so I don't understand why I thought his eyes were kind. Prior to that memory I remember seeing a huge bright light in the sky for a split second and then I came to for those few seconds and saw the spaceman and felt the "euphoria" - and then I lose time. I know it was at least 24 hrs before I thought about what happened and looked at my leg. That's when I saw a semi-circular, very thin bruise mid-calf on my left leg. I knew then that I wasn't supposed to have come to. But what's scary to me is that when I did wake up, they immediately somehow made me feel at peace and safe. Plus I don't remember how I got home or when. My next memory is the next day after I had apparently been up for a while and all of a sudden, I remembered. I must have stared at my leg for an hour before I could move again."

Throughout the years, I told very few people of my experience. I am retired now and have decided to try and make sense of what happened because I don't think I imagined it and I don't think that thousands of other "experiencers" are all crazy.

AboveTopSecret is much like a theme park with many, many rides, with that said...
Here's a few thoughts before getting onto any one of the 1000's of topical rides at Above Top Secret, also known as ATS, the world's largest Civil & Unique Discussion Community.

*** Please be at least this tall to get on any of the rides, (Johnny stretches his arm outward), and act like an 'civil' adult. This will save you a lot of future stress, frustration and possible action by one of your friendly neighborhood Mods!

*** Please remember that some members are very passionate and vocal depending on what ride your on. Before getting on a ride, you should be mentally fit, emotionally stable and have a strong stomach for theories, conjecture, research and evidence presented that may be contrary to your own.

*** Please be "open-minded" enough to understand that sometimes the ride isn't always what you might think or expect. At times, you may learn something new and 'out-of-the-box' before you get off the ride, this is a natural and normal phenomena.

*** Please note that at times the ride gets overly-heated and "it's strongly suggested" to get off the ride to regroup one's thoughts before continuing. This will also help guarantee that the ride will move forward without getting derailed or explode into a fiery trashbin.

*** Please have fun! Be aware if you act in an uncivil-like manner, use profanity, intentionally spread a hoax and/or get verbally abusive, you will be removed off the ride by a Moderator. This is for your safety, & also for those both young and old on the ride with you.

So buckle up, keep your arms within the ride's comfort zone, have fun and "Deny Ignorance"...!
