Well, even though I got nothing I thought I'd post it.

I don't think it was a problem with the technique and I'll be trying it again - I was just too exhausted after driving across a couple states yesterday and basically as soon as my head hit the pillow I was out like a light...so...I'll be trying again tonight.

But yeah, I'd like to hear from the OP again as well. Got any other stories for us?

Lately I have been listing to binaural beats, 2 Hz so delta. Will this work also? Staying awake while listening to 2 Hz?

Thanks to all those that have responded. I can now reveal another secret, that this has been part of an experiment to study the placebo effect on the brain, under specific psychological factors.
