I live near Tampa, and survived "ground zero" in Andrew. My husband and I both worked for a hospital back then. The news said only 30-something people died in the storm, but there were train loads of bodies everywhere. Most of them were looters shot or otherwise killed in the aftermath. They were not people that "died in the storm", so the news accounts were accurate. When a situation turns your small corner of the world into anarchy, you can't trust anything but your own eyes and it makes no difference what is said afterwards. Dead is dead.

Well, maybe these people wouldnt be dead if they would of heeded the evac warnings. I have absolutely no remorse for dead looters.
