I don't know how you got that from what he said.He was talking about violent criminals.None of the things you just said are violent.I don't agree with him about the gun thing but he's got a point on the putting VIOLENT offenders to death.That's the problem with the US justice system,offenders who are sentenced to death have way too many appeals and they just sit on death row for 15-20 years sucking up tax dollars.But that's for another thread.Sorry op,didn't mean to derail your thread.

Are you sure that it's not the western ideology that's the fear factor in the world? Maybe to much freedom allows people to do what they want? If religion had not made rules, we would all have been dead by now. Imagine 4 billion ( muslims & christians) living a life without following the rules of their scriptures? They would have wiped out humanity in the early stages. It's the laws of God that has maintained life.

the simple reason for the Travon incident to attract so much of the lightning storm is for the Anarchy & lawlessness (vigilanties) to reach the point where Marshall Law needs to be imposed

the million dollar 'bounty' for the whereabouts of Zimmerman... and the implied desire to have Zimmerman shot is not even being addressed by any agency of the government or the prosecutors of Florida where the incident/killing took place...

Couple this, with the recent massacre and book burning in Afghanistan, and if you're the US, you've got a serious public relations problem.

Plus, it's socially acceptable in today's America for hate crimes against anyone even vaguely Mid-Eastern, even non-Arab, non-Muslim Sikhs and Hindu's.

As with Trayvon, this is sad, and sadly not surprising given the political climate these days. It seems since Obama was elected all the racist nut-jobs have been coming out of the woodwork and getting increasingly violent... To "take-back" a country their fore-fathers stole....

The reason this hasn't been reported on in the MSM is because they haven't figured out a way to spin it into a tool to manipulate public sentiment. Not to mention the relationship between Muslims in this country is already strained, can you imagine unleashing this can of worms? Everything that gets reported on in the MSM gets reported on for a reason; and everything you don't hear about likewise has reasoning behind it. It's tragic, but that's how it is.

I'm extremely conflicted, Swills; as I said in the OP. I have been for a long time. Most of what I see suggests to me that Muslims genuinely do want to take over the planet, and yet the Muslims I speak to here, insist that that is not the case.

What you can believe is that when the extremists do serious pushing and all Muslims become the enemy, that those who now are peaceful, decent people, will join their extremists brothers.
I really want to know why the come here. Surely they know the West is hostile to them. This Iraqi woman knew we were bombing her country. Wasn't she there at any time when this war was going on? Isn't that similar to Americans moving to Japan or Germany during WWII???

Here is my personal take on why Shaima is not getting the same level of national attention as Trayvon. First, she is Iraqi. Pretty brown-skinned girl, but that's the caveat. She's not a pretty white girl. If she were white, this story would be blowing up the presses regardless of religion.
Second, she was an immigrant. Very few give a damn when an immigrant is murdered in the US, our self-stoked barely-hidden revulsion of immigrants boils on steadily (Spanish-speakers take the brunt of it) I do theorize that the more "exotic" the immigrant, the more likely they are to peak public interest. Perhaps if she was instead a light-skinned, light-eyed Azeri Muslim mother, perhaps people would be intrigued enough to give a crap.
Third, she was Muslim. Considering who we're being conditioned to view as arch enemies around the globe, it's no wonder that most are viewing her murder as "Huh, dead Muslim mom. Who cares?" If this was during the Cold War, & it was a murdered immigrant mother from Russia, i think the sentiment would be the same for the same reason.

Combine those 3 things, and you have a recipe for general disinterest. It's just not WASP-y enough or racially charged enough for 21st Century America. Trayvon's case got the attention it did because it was dogpiled almost immediately after hitting the news, seen as an event the public could get worked up over, be easily lead around by. For what, I don't care, ratings, stirring the proverbial pot, etc. Fact of the matter is, our view of inhumane acts & which are worthy of attention is skewed, distorted & deplorable.

It seems to me that the World are seeing two types of Facists on the rise.... KKK were at it back in the 60's and now it seems they aren't only in the USA but have spread out and have become other groups around the World and then we have the Radical Islamist Groups who dislike everyone who isnt Muslim.....

The question is what can be done about it?

Is it too late?

Is this a Holy War or a Race War?

I think both types of War are ongoing right now....

Who will win?

I don't know but its sure gonna get more ugly as the days go by....

Actually i should add that whatever is in this Article isnt fullproof so my opinion is just my opinion of whats going on in the World!!

It looks like there may be more to this killing than a "hate crime". I initially assumed it was a hate crime when it was first reported.

- The dead woman was apparently planning to divorce her husband and move to Texas.
- The daughter was home at time of the killing and was upset about a forced marriage to a cousin.
- The note left behind was a photocopy.

Interesting developments to say the least. Earlier reports said they were a Christian family. But a family relative is quoted as staying the husband is a Shia cleric. The husband and daughter are now in Iraq to bury her. I wonder if they are coming back?
