BUSTED: NBC Nightly News Caught Inserting Image of Dead Man--Subliminal Messaging

NBC Nightly News has been caught including a subliminal message in their news cast. This occurred on 3-22-12, just before ending the show they flashed an image of a dead man for less than half a second. Someone recorded their TV and showed it in slow motion from their DVR. I took a screenshot and have posted it below. The video won't embed, but here is the link:

This is the true mind of our media. Their true colors are right in front of our eyes. This is only one of many examples, but this one really sticks out. And of course, the newscast was on the famous date 3-22, the Skull and Bones Brotherhood of Death most well known number, for whatever that's worth.. This is why I try to avoid TV, especially mainstream news, altogether. It is toxic for your mind.

How do we know it wasn't edited in by the person who posted it to YouTube?

i would rather see a flash of all girl porn, but whatever .....

Oh dear. I knew that the news was in the game to make you afraid and then turn right around and provide some hopium for you to smoke but I really hope this isn't true.

What's the point? What does it accomplish?

That image is from a TV series, I can't remember the name of the series but I remember that particular scene....wait, the TV series is named AWAKE!

I don't know if that is subliminal done by NBC or the guy who recorded it....that needs to be investigated!

Edit: Just to add that, the TV Series is also on NBC on Thursday nights!

Could be, but I'm no expert at figuring that kind of stuff out. It seems legit, since it was recorded and played from the DVR, but I could be wrong.

I wonder if anyone else has seen this so it can be verified. Someone could've edited that into the video and could be a hoax.

Eh, this looks like a mistake made by someone in master control, maybe at the local station. Was this national or just in this guy's local market? Could have been a still frame or video cued up on another bus and butterfingers hit the wrong button.

I wouldn't get too conspiracy-minded about this. If it were intentionally subliminal, it would be a couple frames and you wouldn't notice it at 30fps.

I believe you are right about the cues. The date stamped on that video says it is from the 22nd March, which is on the same day as the AWAKE tv series!

waaaay too long exposure for a subliminal...in fact you can clearly recognice it...i call hoax or technical error

I'm not sure why NBC Nightly News would be subliminally advertising a dead man. Do they want people to buy more coffins? The most logical explanation for this is that they tried to advertise for their show "Awake" but cut out at the last second. Televisions have made mistakes before. For instance, I remember during the Christmas game in 2009? with the Cavaliers and the Lakers playing basketball, microphones picked up indecent conversations on the court. These conversations included profanity and were broadcast on national television. It was almost surreal, after one of the players said a very bad word, you looked at everyone else in the room and think "Did I just hear what I think I heard?" kind of like that scene from Fight Club.

(20 year news veteran, here...)

This is not intentional, it was done when the network handed-off "control" of the live-air signal to the local station's video servers. Often, when the frame-syncs/video servers stop playback, they grab a frame of the last video they had as a source. What you see here is the unfortunate effect of the Master Control Op not clearing out the work buffers of the servers and just taking the server live before it had a chance to grab the signal.

This video source was probably being used by someone in the station for a segment they were editing and was being fed down off of a satellite. 90% of the footage coming off the bird is not usable in the packages due to content and this video certainly fits the bill. The field shooters simply "point and spray" whatever scene they are told to cover - regardless of the content.

No conspiracy here.

Edit: if they truly wanted it to be subliminal, they would have to insert it to where its duration would be LESS than 1/24th or 1/30th of a second.

Well, a quick way to clarify if this was intentional or not is to find the show's clip that has this scene. What episode, trailer, etc., of Awake does this appear in?

Just out of interest, as a 20 year news vet, have you ever seen or heard of such goings on as subliminal messaging? I know it's a common subject on conspiracy boards, but i wondered if you'd seen it happening yourself?

Your time frame for how subliminal messaging should be seemed awful precise. Just kidding....kind of.

It depends on what was surrounding it. They would have sandwiched it in with something that they wanted you to hate or get turned off with. Considering it was FAR LEFT NBC .... they probably tucked it in a segment about Romney or Santorum. Betchya.
