Simple fact is, when Zimmerman made the call, he didn't KNOW the race at first, and stated this. You can listen to the recording yourself. He
reported suspicious behavior. Plus, all the evidence and two witnesses show that Martin attacked Zimmerman. That is the key issue. That makes this
How about getting the FACTS right before rushing in to defend Zimmerman? In the 911 call Zimmerman refers to Martin as a black male TWICE.
OK, is he White, Black, or Hispanic?
He looks black.
Yeah, now he’s coming toward me. He’s got his hands in his waist band.
And he’s a black male.[1:03]
Zimmerman also sounds desperate to capture or bust Martin;
These assholes. They always get away.
The back entrance.
[It sounds like Zimmerman says under his breath, ‘F-ing coons’ at 2:22]
The entire transcript is here:
George Zimmerman's 911 call transcribed
Plus, all the evidence and two witnesses show that Martin attacked Zimmerman.
No, the evidence shows Zimmerman LEFT HIS CAR to foot pursue Martin. Martin's girlfriend was on the phone in which she states he was freaking out
over some guy staring at him, then following him, she told him to run. In Zimmerman's 911 call he states that Martin started to run away
him. THAT is proof Martin WAS NOT seeking a confrontation.
There are also NOT "two witnesses" that Martin attacked Zimmerman, only one mystery, unidentified witness by the name of John who claims that, but
his version doesn't match two other witnesses who have come forward, Mary Cutcher and her roommate who state it was Zimmerman on top of Martin and
Martin was face down. The shooting took place in the alley behind the row of homes where Martin ran, near Mary Cutcher's home. When Zimmerman asked
Mary Cutcher to call 911 for him, where was this mystery witness John?
Whether Martin got the best of Zimmerman is immaterial to his 'self-defense' claim, it's when Zimmerman left his car to confront Martin, in
DEFIANCE of the 911 operator's order, that's when Zimmerman became the aggressor.
That makes this self defense.
If anyone had a right to 'self-defense', it was Trayvon Martin. He was being chased down in the rain by some weirdo nutbag with a gun. Did he not
ALSO have a right to 'stand his ground'?
Does this mean that I can grab a gun, go confront anyone I want in the street even if I have to chase them down, and then slay them with a bullet
point blank to the chest if they slap or punch me? Then claim that I was only 'defending myself'?
