The low-pressure remains of Hurricane Ivan that wandered in the Gulf of Mexico on Wednesday swelled into a tropical storm that's expected to assault the Texas and Louisiana coasts today.

Whoa--I thought Ivan managed to survived for a whole year or something!

I remember when people were concerned about Ivan hitting NOLA. That should have been a warning IMHO.

I don't think I've ever heard of a hurricane that came back for more as a tropical storm.
