WAR: Brother of UK Hostage says the US has "sabotaged" his brother's release

Topic started on 23-9-2004 @ 06:55 AM by John Nada

The brother of UK hostage Kenneth Bigley feels that the US has "sabotaged" his brothers release by refusing to return a woman scientist, who it was claimed earlier in the week would be set free by Iraqi ministers, back to the terrorists who demand that all women prisoners be set free. Paul Bigley feels that pressure from the US forced Iraqi officials not to release Dr Taha.

news.bbc.co.uk
Paul Bigley told BBC Radio 4's Today programme there had been "a shadow of light in a big, long, dark, damp, filthy, cold tunnel" when it appeared Dr Taha would be freed. "Now this has been sabotaged," he said.

"The fact on the table now is that nobody has to negotiate with anybody about anything," he said.

"All the powers have to do now is allow the Iraqis to conduct their own internal affairs the way they should be doing."

Certainly some strange happenings here, it appears that Iraqi ministers were going to to release Dr Taha which had nothing to do with the terrorists demands, but now that it may look like they're releasing here because of the demands they have chose to not release her.

Iraqi Minister of State Kassem Daoud said ""Unfortunately... there was an impression that the Iraqi government made a deal with the terrorists, which we never, ever do,"

The hostages have no respect for women because they have just beheaded two Italian women hostages. This is not about release of Iraqi women prisoners, this is about commanding a world stage. No-one can sabotage peace talks, where is this delegation of murdering hostage takers who want to talk.

Release!? How the hell could anyone consider releasing that Iraqi terrorist lady? You know what she did? She worked on germ warfare! Ya, and due to her participation, probably alot of innocent kurds got wasted. How can you release such a monster? Thats like saying its ok to release a nazi war criminal!

Asking for release of "women" prisioners is only an attempt to gain some sympathy. I hope these f@#&ing monsters suffer the same fate they inflict on these innocent hostages.

No, I doubt that they'll reach a similar fate. I imagine that Coalition hardware is far more fast and efficient than a freakin' knife. They'll meet their end far more quickly and painlessly than they deserve.

Everyone is always trying to make excuses for the actions of these monsters, but whatever happened to someone just being evil? I've known an evil person or two in my life-time. They do exist, and they tend to show "evil" tendancies from an early age (some with parents that are as normal as can be).

Not long ago I saw a statistic stating that the number of truly extremist Islamic terrorists in the Middle-east (not including Palestine) was thought to be around 16,000. They're just the vast minority of psychotic minded individuals in that region. We've probably got that many here lol. Only difference with the U.S. is that it's called organized crime and gang warfare instead of terrorism lol.

Back on topic... aren't these two the ONLY two female prisoners in Iraq? Like some have said on other threads, even if these women were EVER released... you just know that they'd be under surveillance 24/7. Maybe releasing them at a later date would be in our best interest.

If Tony Blair is so stuck up his own arse that he won't even go against Bush for this situation, then he will have ONE HELL OF A JOB getting back into power. Who does he think he is? People are already Roasting him, if the hostage dies, theres gonna be bloodshed at Westminster.

I actually commend Blair for his resolve. He knows that militarily and economically the U.K. and U.S. might as well be one (equal) entity. I truly believe that he has opposed public opinion because he is genuinely concerned for the welfare of his people. Maybe decades from now when all of this is over, the world may appreciate these leaders for the changes that they're bringing about.
