The hypocrites are those who know Cheney was evil, and are now wishing him well. Although that is a Christian behavior to forgive. I guess I am not a good Christian. I pity the person who should have received the heart, not the evil Cheney. Bush resisted all the pressure from Cheney to attack Iran. I like Bush a lot more than I like Cheney.

According to the news, Cheney is 71 years old, and had been on a waiting list for a heart transplant for more than 20 months. It does not appear that he jumped the line or anything else improper about getting this heart. He will be extremely weak and in a lot of pain for several months, since a heart transplant requires sawing the sternum and a lot of recuperation and gradual physical therapy (and a lot of anti-rejection drugs). We'll probably see him with whiskers for a while because shaving is a no-no while he's on very strong blood thinners.

I don't know what the doctors did with his original heart, but since it was never used I assume it's prime transplant material.

Cheney worked out of his own bunker. Cheney made millions from sole source contacts to Halliburton. Cheney was involved with the B52 armed with nukes, evidently without President Bush's authorization, and then the airmen are killed. Cheney is a work all his own, far beyond the usual Vice President. Joe Biden is generally harmless, often sticking his foot in his mouth. There is no comparison between the two men.
