Homosexuals already have equal rights when it comes to this.
Says the anti-gay crowd.

I honestly do not understand why there are so many Right Wing Christians on ATS. (or even non-religious Right Wingers).
California's top court last night backed the will of the people and banned gay marriage.
The ruling, upholding the result of a state-wide referendum, came as a major blow to the state's reputation as a liberal trendsetter.

Voters in the U.S. state of Maine yesterday rejected a law allowing same-sex 'marriage'.
It means such unions have now been refused in all 31 states where the issue has been put directly to the electorate.

Well the member is obviously revelling in being able to control others so I would imagine they're feeling very good about themselves.

Parents could be legally referred to as 'Progenitor A' and 'Progenitor B' under plans for same sex marriage, regardless of their sexuality, it has been claimed.
A leading lawyer said, if the institution of marriage is redefined, the erosion of traditional words such as 'mother' and 'father' from British law could have 'Orwellian' consequences.
He said analysis of other countries which had already legalised same sex marriage had shown erosion of traditional words in statute, such as 'mother', 'father', 'wife' and 'husband'
Writing in the Telegraph, Lord Brennan - who is also the president of the Catholic Union of Great Britain - used Spain as a recent example, where the Socialist government introduced gay marriage in 2005.
He wrote: 'The following year it was announced that Spanish birth certificates would read "Progenitor A" and "Progenitor B" instead of "mother" and "father"
'This kind of language is Orwellian. Can we really expect the same kind of thing here if marriage is redefined?'

I'm saying that it seems that particular member is happy to control others by arguing to disallow a harmless freedom by branding it harmful and appearing as chuffed with themselves as a schoolyard bully after a punch up where the smaller kid gets a bloody nose.
An Earl has been banned from holding weddings at his 600-year-old castle after refusing to allow a gay marriage.
The Earl of Devon, Hugh Courtenay, has had the licence to hold civil ceremonies at Powderham Castle near Exeter revoked by Devon County Council.
It is thought to be the first case of its kind in the country since the introduction of civil partnerships last year.

PM could face rebellion from more than 100 MPs
David Cameron today faced the prospect of his biggest ever backbench rebellion over his plans to legalise gay marriage.
Conservative MPs are threatening a protest even bigger than that against the PM's EU veto following the Coalition's plan to lift the ban on civil marriage for gay and lesbian couples.
Opponents claim more than 100 Tory backbenchers could oppose gay marriage, although MPs will be encouraged to support the Prime Minister, according to the Independent.

Hey, dont have a go at me if common sense isn't being used. I am concerned with one thing and there is no reason that we cannot use common sense in it's implementation.
If it turned out that the world would end or society would collapse I would back right away and never say another word about it but the world will not end because of it and society will not collapse.
You are concerned with people not being allowed to do things such as this guy in his castle or people having to do things such as christians marrying gays in church.
Surely we can excercise common sense when new laws are introduced?
You're attacking the wrong thing.
