Searched for it but couldn't find a thread asking this question.

Basically how can I make my avatar pic (that I see beside my posts) cover the whole space ( from where it says "member" to where my username is.

Actually I just checked some of my posts and noticed that it is covering that space but it doesn't reach all the way down beyond where it says "member". How come?

These 2 threads will help. Can use Photobucket to resize your picture. Just be sure to read all of the opening posts to get the whole idea.

Avatars:

GIF and JPEG file formats only with a maximum dimension of 160 pixels wide, by 320 pixels tall. File sizes are not to exceed 75k, and animated GIF's are allowed. (physical size can extend up to 400 pixels tall for images under 50k in file size)

No profanity. No 3rd party advertising for any website(s).

No images that are similar to, or mimic any official ATS staff, FSME, reward, or other images used by ATS to designate special status without prior permission from me, SkepticOverlord, or Springer.

If Time4aChange's links are not enough, but they should be, there are at least 2 more good threads about avatar stuff in the Freshmen's Forum:

If you need it, you're welcome to use this clear GIF for your avatar area:

Make your avatar background into the picture you want to display as your avatar, and then stick a transparent gif over it in the normal avatar position.

Also if you need to use images rather than texts as your signature:

Copy the line inside the "Use in a post:" box

Paste it inside the "Your Signature box", hit Submit.

Note:

The "Signature" link in the "Use in ATS mini-profile" selection list does not work. I tried using it several times but no luck.
