they are "drawing down" the number of troops in Iraq this week.

I heard Randy Rhodes talking about it yesterday on Air America but could not find it on the BBC website and I have not seen it around ATS.

Has Tony Blair had enough of dubya or does he just now realise that most of the british people are fed up with him and trying to save his political hide?

I haven't heard anything like that Gools, not recently anway. In fact, Apart from the hostage situation at the moment, the biggest Iraq news in the papers was Blair's announcement that we are 'back at war' in Iraq.
I'm sure most of the population would like to see our troops pulled out of Iraq, not that demographic opinion would have any influence on our democratic government, of course!

Yes, this is old news.

UK troops are being reduced and being shipped to Afganistan.

The mess there should have been cleaned up before invading Iraq. Funny how you dont hear much about whats going on in that country now, isnt it?

Afganistan is in a far worse state before they were invaded and indeed before Iraq was.
