Beautiful Time-Lapse Video Shows Stars and Earth From Space Station

I could try to describe it, but words don't do it justice. Enjoy!

From the article where I found the video

Time-lapse of the stars, as viewed from the International Space Station

Good News – Thu, 22 Mar, 2012

The International Space Station doesn't just bring us the blues.

In a gorgeous time-lapse video of the stars from low earth orbit, we're given the space station's perspective of our night sky.

NASA astronaut (and amateur photographer) Don Pettit took most of the photos used in the video, which were made available to editor Alex Rivest by The Gateway to Astronaut Photography of Earth, a NASA outreach program.

"Dedicated to those who dream of exploring the solar system, and those who are sharing their experiences while doing it," writes Rivest.

After seeing the light of stars in this galaxy which is one of 1,000,000,000's galaxies I still believe the Earth is the center of the universe and the only planet with life on it.

Sweet find Newage...Thanks!
I thought the aurora borealis was pretty neat.
Seeing the center of the Milky Way with that kind of clarity would be awesome.
I do live in an area where I can see a lot of stars and planets, but nothing like it was when I was a kid.

Where there is conscious awareness, there, is the center of the universe.

The Bible says that there are more stars in the heavens than grains of sand on the earth, and that God's thoughts are towards us equally as numerous. Strange, to find such a thing in the Bible eh?

Anyway, getting kind of tired of these kinds of posts. I just wanted to share something I found to be beautiful and magnificent.

That statement is the truest thing I have read on ATS in a long time, thanks for that.

Just seeing the stars really makes you understand how insignificant we are in this .universe.

Actually, it makes me think about how nothing is insignificant and that everything, no matter how big or small, is sacred.

Great Video.

Have spotted an anomoly at time frame 1:16 thru 1:19 during the video. If you look just above the Earths horizon in the area shown in the photo below. You will see a light appear, move rapidly and then dissapear. Any experts out there who could have a look at it and explain......

Tks

Dude. Amazing find! It took me a while to find it. What do you suggest it is? Shooting star? Meteorite?
