It's obviously not that simple. If the President tell the country you're a terrorist and you're trying to kill children, expect someone to beat the # out of you.

Words have real-world consequences... sometimes..

Rush shouldn't be locked up for saying stupid #, but guess what, people protesting him and trying to shut him down are ALSO using their freedom of speech to do it.

The Media Matters masquerade does not pass the laugh test.

The selective moral outrage is a joke.

And 63 million voters can't be wrong

Obama/Biden 2012

(still going to go with large numbers = truth?)

I see you are also going with large numbers.

Obamas approval rating is down to 41% and falling. It will fall further when people

find out he is giving the Muslim Brotherhood $1.5 Billion US taxpayer dollars.

------
63 million? not anymore.

You really don't understand how things work, do you
Obama's ratings are going down...and up...and down...
matters not
what matters is, how is Obama's ratings compared to specific names (such as Romney, Santorum, etc)..
Keep in mind also Obama has yet to even start truely campaigning...

You will also find that fringe right wing concerns only concern to...fringe right wings. Not like a fringe right winger would have otherwise voted for Obama...he wears the opposing teams uniform, therefore by default they won't vote for him.

Those stories, such as the muslim bro'hood is not to try to win over independents..its to try and get the fringe right to vote in the first place verses just stay home in disgust for the tool they put forward.

I pointed out the numbers to show the flaw in your thinking that somehow big numbers matters. Rush does well on his AM show because neocons go there...anyone whom isn't a neocon gets split up into 300 FM stations, Satellite radio, etc...which if you consolidated would dwarf rushbo's neocon monopoly.
What do you think would happen if Hannity was on at the same time as Rush on a different station?
What do you think would happen if 30 other neocons were on 30 other stations at the same time as rush?

the numbers are not reflective of anything beyond a concentration of a specific mindset..and 20 million people in a land of 300 million is not significant.

And they are allowed to protest and boycott him and his advertisers all they want, but to have Rush silenced is wrong and not the American way. So it is that simple.

How is he being silenced?
I must have skipped over that part of the article...is media matters trying to get a law passed to silence him or something?
I thought they were only doing commercials using rush's words to expose him for the sexist he is...

But, I may have not seen it...I only read the article twice..I guess something could have slipped by me..so, will be over there waiting for you to show me how he is being silenced...

The Obama campaigning has begun.

I saw him out at Oklahoma making a fool out of himself.

That pipeline going from Oklahoma to the coast is being built in spite of Obama

not because of Obama.

Him trying to run away from Solyndra has everyone laughing in Washington DC.

We have all seen the Solyndra Youtube videos of him at his flagship green energy

company.
Now it has failure written all over it.
------
Obama hiding behind his latest victim Sandra Fluke has also flopped.

His numbers are heading down.

Obamas time is short. Rush Limbaugh however has never been stronger.

I never thought Limbaugh was anything more than a wind bag.
Now I see he is a windbag for the ptb.
All of this distraction on a non issue must get Limbaugh alot of points for being the ptb patsy on this distraction.
As always, Limbaugh is a tool.

Is it possible that the brainwashed hords might actually believe that they are the well informed minority?

Freedom of speech was designed for a time when you were deigned free to stand up on a soapbox (literally) in the middle of the town square and rant your brains out for whoever wanted to stop in their daily chores to listen to you. Think 'Mr. Smith Goes to Washington's filibuster' but outside in the sun.

It was not envisioned for anything regarding the public airwaves which include 50,000 watt torches that cover thousands of square miles apiece, and for one person's idiotic rants 'with talent on loan from Gawd... ' to be distributed FREE to lazy radio stations along with advertising mega-dollars to be played at drive time and prime time to thousands of distribution points including the Armed Forced Radio.

Turns out most Limbaugh programming is given away free to the stations (if they'll play the accompanying advertisements) and a lot of people who bought ads with Clear Channel and EIB didn't realize their ads were being played during Rush's misogynist, hate inducing rants.

Of course, Rush just says, any time he's called on it, that he's 'just an entertainer' and not actually reporting anything close to news or the truth.

Why is this man not in jail? He spent years vilifying drug users only to be caught doctor shopping for pain killers, and let's not forget the time he came back from the Dominican Republic, that bastion of freedom and child prostitution, with a large supply of Viagra with his doctor's name on the label rather than his own, and then joked that he 'had a great time in the DR but couldn't talk about it'.

The man should be in jail and instead, the far right looneytunes are putting him out there as THE spokesman for their belief systems. It's obscene. Is this what we have come to as a nation? This???

"I may disagree with what you have to say, but I shall defend to the death your right to say it."

I don't listen to Rush, never will, but I defend his right to say stupid crap. If people don't like what he has to say then don't listen to him. It's that effin' simple.

Free speech isn't just for a-holes - it is also for people to point out a-holes and suggest that others not listen to him.

If he has the right to say crap then everyone else has the right to say it's crap and to encourage others to not listen to him too.

And also to pressure advertisers.

Good on them!

You know you can just turn the channel if you do not want to listen to him right? NPR is using public airwaves too so In fairness if Rush limbaugh is taken off air So should NPR(subsidized by the taxpayer none the less) A Argument could be made to say that anywhere you speak can be a soapbox so to speak. As long as they are not infringing on anyone elses rights its fine. It seems some here have never actually listened to a show of his a while. Take the challeng he gives out and listen to him for a few shows. Or is that too much work?

NPR is expecting to get defunded. George Soros can cut them a check no problem.

In fact he already has.

Well its about time NPR gets defunded by the taxpayer. George though is a private citizen, but who also donates to media matters and many other left leaning organizations. He is really interesting in that. Donating for causes that are done under the table. Isnt he a NWO supporter as well?

George Soros funded OWS.

He also funded the circus out in Oakland, CA.

That one failed miserably.
