Youtube help

Does anyone know of a good program to download audio off of youtube? Im looking for something that is not loaded with spyware.

try a site what will download that actual flash video for you
(realplayer gives pop-up on most vids to download)
then get a video converter that will turn to mp3s etc..
im not listing links to any here as i might be held accountable for copyright laws

The videos i need to download are too large for those online programs. But youtube downloaders are 100% legal as long as they are used properly.

If you are using firefox get an addon on called "download helper", it allows to to download the video with sound....or just the mp3 of the video.

I use it all the time....its the bees knees

If it's just for the audio then look no farther than MP3 rocket. It's free and FAST.

This is why i dont use these public torrent sites, only place il get a torrent is Demonoid.

Well I use something called "Internet Download Manager"...

If gives you a button over the video (built in add-on for firefox at least) on youtube that says "Download this video", you click it and it shows you all the possible qualities available, and video or audio... and you just choose from the list and voila, you have it.

Works great for me.

But there are others you can check out, download and see reviews

Easiest one out there is keepvid.com. Just copy and paste the link from youtube into their site, and you can either download the full video in flv, mp4, or just mp3 audio. There's also a firefox addon called ANT video downloader, though I've had trouble using it with youtube lately. Definitely check out keepvid before any of the others.

Lol all tpb applications show some soft of spyware un-unregistered code because they have been modified I.E cracked. They are harmless. Also bad comments come from owners to put you off downloading it for free. People need to stop believing the internet is out to get them and is super dangerous with virus's everywhere...you need to get a clue of what is harmful and what not...you fear has been perpetuated by company who sell anti-virus software.

Use a bit of common.

The ANT tool bar is junk spyware.

It never worked good for me and has a lot of unwanted extras.

For me Ant is an inconspicuous icon in Firefox, no toolbar here. And the privacy settings are easily configurable.
