Whats kinda funny in all this is people that think like you that want the constitution gotten rid of and everything rewritten are now considered terrorists under the homeland security guidelines, you know rebels, dissenters, funny how that blade swings both ways isn't it? I admit there are many parts of the system that are flawed and are in need of a tune up but like many have said there are ways of doing that written right in the founding documents and when done in that manner perfectly acceptable. A recent example is the many states allowing gay people to get married, times have changed, peoples feelings twords that have changed and so laws were amended to allow for equal rights in those instances on a state by state basis. See it still works, just needs a little more adherence to and perhaps a little dusting off, not a dismissal and complete disregard of. Eh my thoughts on it anyway.....

You give Limbaugh too much credit. He is the howard stern of politics. The majority of the reason people listen to him is not because they agree with what he says, it is because they want to see what asinine thing he is going to say next.

I'll tell you why Al Franken didn't get big ratings. Because liberals don't watch a lot of TV or listen to a lot of talk radio- they're more intellectual. Which explains why the right-wing shows get such high ratings. The less intellectual you are, the more TV you watch. And that's a fact, Jack. And that's why Fox News has higher ratings than MSNBC.

He has written several books - been on the New York Times Best Seller List more than once. Guess he let that get to his head, and thought all those liberals would stop reading long enough to listen to some talk radio.

The only thing I ever watch on TV is MSNBC, Frontline, and for entertainment - The Daily Show, or the Colbert Report - or if I really want a laugh - I'll watch Fox News. But I can only stand about 15 minutes of Fox, or my head will explode.

First of all, I really dig your avatar. That said, I also appreciate your digs on my OP. I've never in my life thought I would ever be compared to Bill O'Reilly, and it's truly amusing.

I think if Bill O'Reilly knew I was being compared to him, he'd likely be offended.

I don't disagree on most of what you say. The system has shown little respect for the liberties of the proletariat for decades. This systemic disease goes all the way up to the highest levels of our government, obviously. In any event, these truths don't excuse the vitriolic hate-speech that has so infected the national discussion on the matter, none of which advances the discussion toward a healthy resolution.

And this, more than anything, was the point of my post.

He's not your President? You didn't vote for him? Neither did I. He's still my President. I didn't vote for Bush or Cheney either, and they were my President and Vice President for eight horrific years.

Do you live in the United States? Do you pay taxes? Are you off the grid completely? No? Then he's your President, and more than half of your fellow constituents and taxpayers voted him into office, absolutely with your assistance, whether you were or are witting of it or not.
