I hope I can post this tidbit in here, because I don't want to run the OP's post off topic.
I just don't want to start a new thread about this, and I am in Canada also.
Alberta, to be exact.
Anyway, it is some degrees below freezing here, and it had snowed most of day until a few hours ago.
The skies are still mostly a greyish colour, but over to the south/east of my location, part of the sky is a light blue beautiful midday kind of
colour. Like any other nice weather DAY kind of sky.
Only thing is .............................. it is nighttime, almost one in the morning!
Orange rainbow in ontario, and part blue sky at night in alberta.
What is this all about?
