*Gulp* I've now drank the Kool-aid....

and became a registered member of the ATS community. I have been monitoring the threads from afar for a few years now and I finally became tired/frustrated enough with not being able to directly participate within the discussion to join. So here I am! I look forward to contributing to existing threads or when I get my 20 posts being able to start threads.

Anyways...I'm looking forward to meeting like minded people or at the very least intelligently debating with those of different opinions, ideas and beliefs.

Hi , and welcome to the Introductions Forum of the ATS community. For now you can reply to any thread in any member forum you wish, as well as send & receive (PM's) Private Messages to Staff only. Once you have achieved 20 posts, you will then be able to start your own threads and additionally send & receive messages to and from fellow ATS members.

Welcome Eric! I too just joined tonight. Think we're going to be in for one heck of a fun ride.

As many before me have said "I've been a longtime lurker".. so I'm somewhat prepared for the type of absurdity that can present itself within the threads here. That being said, I still hope to maintain my own integrity with factual or well thought out contributions while still maintaining an open mind to new or different ideas,opinions or beliefs from others.

Let's see...for the most part I enjoy but am not limited to posts about ancient civilizations, science, technology and current affairs. I also enjoy sometimes playing the role of devil's advocate on topics not only to push others to think about their statements/beliefs but also to push my own thinking. I like a challenge but not from ignorance but rather from intelligence that will expand my views and thoughts on any given topic.
