Sorry, upon reading the headline, the evil in me just had to say....

"Stop posting Woman! Get back in the kitchen and make me some grub, and while you're at it I could use another beer!"

Now I'm going to have to deal with my five olders sisters wanting to beat my @$$. Of course when I tell them that I got my sense of dark humor from them, they don't want to hear it.

At least you have asked the questions instead of acting like the average ignorant atheist. Ignorance and questions are good things. Basing what you say on ignorance is bad

One, if the above is literal, then where did the likeness of women come from?

Two, if women were so unimportant, then why the need for Jesus to be born to Mary? And because of this holy birth, how come the perception towards women did not change?

Now the next few statements, I must say require a thick skin for those that get offended easily, but this is the reason for discussion.

If women were considered to only be "2nd" made, then why are women more efficiently made for the continuation of life, as men are simply needed to provided needed "help" with the beginning, but afterward are no longer medically, nutritionally, or need to gestate?

Is it so hard to try to understand the need of women, or the understanding that the church has decided that there had to be a hidden agenda about women in general?

Third, if procreation was supposed to be a #1 goal, why would women who are far more complicated biologically be made second?

"So The Lord God caused the man to fall into a deep sleep; and while he was sleeping, He took one of the man's ribs [also translated took part of the man's side] and closed up the place with flesh. Then The Lord God made a woman from the rib He had taken out of the man, and He brought her to the man. The man said, "This is now bone of my bones and flesh of my flesh; she shall be called 'woman,' for she was taken out of man." For this reason a man will leave his father and mother and be united to his wife, and they will become one flesh." (Genesis 2:21-24)
Eve came from Adam, Adam means dust

Why do you say women are un- important. The culture at the time suggest that women were unimportant but not God. He sees everyone as equals, not physical equals but spiritual equals. Men were stronger and more physically able, so they were more important in the culture. As they are still considered more valued in countrys like China.
Women and men are not physically equal.

Women for continuation of life, Hmmmm. That smacks against the spiritual equality thing to some degree. Women are completely useless at the continuation of the life thing on their own, as are men. Women were created to help men. To be part of the solution, not the problem. Men need women and women need men.

Procreation is not the number 1 goal. Relationship with God is the number 1 goal. Dont get confused. Jesus came to restore relationship. That is the number 1 goal. Jesus.

Humanity and womens biggest failure is we think its all about us. Me me me, sadly its only when you put other people first to you understand value.
I am married and as such am my wifes servant. The biblical perspective is based on husbands emulating Jesus. As such serving loving ,edifying and to die for their wife.
Go read the book of Hosea.
Jesus had two women wh were gentiles and women in his lineage. Rahab the prostitute and Esther not a prostitute.

You are confusing culture with theology.

My favorite one out of them is the book of Thomas, it tells of Jesus as a child and was wrote by his older brother Thomas.

What? Jesus had an older brother? Scandalous! I guess Mary wasn't a virgin after all!

Hahahahahahahahahahahaha!!!!!!!!

(Tell dude Jesus' half-brothers were James and Judah (not Iscariot).

No, that's the Trinity. One God existing in 3 persons. It's a plural noun, but the context it's used in is always singular. It's technically a grammatical error in the Hebrew every time it appears in the text.

Surely because gays are an "abomination", should be put to horrible death and will forever roast in God's custom eternal bbq pit. Y'know, just obeying our "loving father's" word.

Disgusting.

As I understand it Genesis 1:26, surprisingly enough, is followed followed by Genesis 1:27 which says

"So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them" KJV

The verse is not against women, if you knew the mind of God you would know why that verse didn't mention women.

Let us re-write the verse,

Let us make man and women in our image

Seems harmless enough,

But, there is a catch, if women is in the image of God, then God is a woman?

God is clearly male, but perhaps God is married and there is in reality a Goddess?

Such mentions of our Goddess mother would too easily be misunderstood by the feeble minds of mortal man,
religions would sprout up by this verse alone if it revealed too much, there would clearly be churches built on the
foundation of worshiping the Goddess and forgetting the God, remember the commandment,

"Thou shalt have none other gods before me.",

To understand God, you must attempt to think like God, God knows that the Goddess of the universe is exempt from the above commandment, but he also knows the feeble mind of man would misunderstand and build churches up to build up and puff up and exalt the Goddess and downplay and diminish and degrade the God, you
see how mortal humans think? Even if there are a lot of good intentions, there is always corruption, look around, look at all of the false churches with false concepts, some good, some ok, some with 93% truth, some with 3% truth, mixed with the ideologies of man you can never have complete truth.

Why does God not mention the Goddess?

To honor her, that's why, he knew her name would be disrespected if she was mentioned. The most blasphemous thing you can do, besides the major commandments, is mock her. To understand why she is a secret you must attempt to understand the mind of God, for who knows the disgusting mind of man and man corrupted by devils than God himself.

If you read all of my post, ponder and pray about it, you will come to a similar conclusion I believe, but not all of us are in tune to the same frequency.

Jesus was a virgin birth meaning no penetration were in the bible does it say that he did not have an older brother. As I said the book of thomas which was left out of the king james bible along with multiple other books was written by him.

Doesn't the bible say that eve was made from the rib of Adam(the first apparent man)? Maybe creating a human was more important than humans reproducing back in the day.

The Hebrew word that means rib can also mean curve as in the helix curve of our DNA .

If you do not accept the Bible for what it is and represents, feel free to find a new source of guidnance and inspiration. The basis of Christain belief is that the Bible is the absolute word of God and is true as written by man. If you can't jump that hurdle then your post is nothing more than another attempt to muddy the waters. I am certain you must believe that their is a war against women and Birth Control should be free.

Why is everyone saying theres a war against this person or that person. Birth control shouldnt be free first it costs money to make it and second there is another form of birth control thats already free just dont have sex.

The below bible text speaks of MALE and FEMALE being created equal-I think ADAMS original FEMALE/wife was LILITH/LILITUTE (notice FEMALE possible LILITH-LILITH=ANNUNAKI BLOODLINE imagine her and ADAM mixed)

genesis 1:27

King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
So God created man in his own image, in the image of God created he him; male and female created he them.

genesis 1:28

King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
And God blessed them, and God said unto them, Be fruitful, and multiply, and fill the earth, and subdue it: and have dominion over the fish of the sea, and over the fowl of the air, and over every living thing that moves upon the earth.

------------------------------------------------------

Enlil was also espoused to Nin-khursag and their son was Ninurta (Ningirsu), the Mighty Hunter. By another wife, Ninlil (Sud), Enlil had a second son, Nanna (Suen), known as the Bright One. Nanna and his wife, Ningal, were the parents of Inanna (who was called Ishtar by the Babylonians), and who married the Shepherd King Dumu-zi (the latter given in the Semitic Old Testament book of Ezekiel 8:14 as Tammuz).

Another son of Enlil and Ninlil was Nergal (Meslamtaea), King of the Underworld. He married Eresh-kigal, the Queen of the Netherworld, the daughter of Nanna and Ningal (i.e. Inanna’s sister), and the mother of Lilith (who became handmaiden to Inanna, her maternal aunt). Lilith is also notorious as the first wife of Adam, but it was Lilith who rejected him (and thus incurred the wrath of every reject-worthy male on the planet).

------------------------------------------------------

Below the bible text is speaking of the GENETIC MODIFICATION OF ADAMS RIB MAKING EVE THE SECOND WOMAN/WIFE (notice woman EVE)

genesis 2:21

King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
And the LORD God caused a deep sleep to fall upon Adam, and he slept: and he took one of his ribs, and closed up its place with flesh;

genesis 2:22

King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
And from the rib, which the LORD God had taken from man, made he a woman, and brought her unto the man.

genesis 2:23

King James 2000 Bible (©2003)
And Adam said, This is now bone of my bones, and flesh of my flesh: she shall be called Woman, because she was taken out of Man.

Women/Female ARE important. the perception has been hijacked by nonbelievers who wished to take the sacred data and disbelieve it and made it into a political control tool to manage the religious masses of EA*RTH

In the above text I posted it shows FEMALES were made at the same time as MALES

1 fully understands the need for women/females as do MANY OTHERS understand. Again some men of the past could not deal with powerful women who could look them in the eye and be just as strong and make powerful decisions. those men in fear tried to eliminate the female/women from reaching their true potential strengths. In the data I posted you can see the FEMALE blood line importance with LORD ENLIL & LORD ENKI AND WHO WAS TO MANAGE EA*RTH do to their MOTHERS blood...

Sounds fair. However. As Laurence Gardner points out: “Enki was not happy about his brother’s promotion because, although Enlil was the elder of the two, his mother (Ki) was Anu’s junior sister, whereas Enki’s mother (Antu) was the senior sister. True kingship, claimed Enki, progressed as a matrilineal institution through the female line, and by this right of descent Enki maintained that he was the first born of the royal succession.”

I think this is also influence of the men who controlled religions and were in FEAR of POWERFUL WOMEN as you can see the FEMALE is important. I hope this data helped.

Personally, I am glad that women were cast from a different mold than men.

I like the looks of women a lot better.
