millions of families depend on government assistance to survive as a result of unemployment or underemployment. I mean heck, we all pay taxes no matter how much income we make in a year..so why not have a safety net in place?

man it's just sad on so many levels reading some of the posts in this thread.

healthcare SHOULD be a right, we spend $200 billion on wars but yet we can't spend a dime on providing everyone with adequate health care? what in the world is wrong with you people?

sometimes I just think that it's pride that is getting the best of some of these advocates of "life stinks, no money = no health care" people.

Oh and was that Dr. a plastic surgeon? She really should not have done work on herself if so...EWWWWWW!
Beside Dr. Facelift is only worried she will not get enough money from Obama care to finish her squinty fish face mishap!

This was classic! Spin Doctors working on fake Doctors really nailed it...whoops backfire! Poor, rich Dr. YEAH RIGHT!

But it helps me figure out where not to put my vote! Thanks!

Of course you should be sad. You should feel highly frustrated.
We are not falling for the socialistic meme that you keep putting out there. Americans won't buy it. Sure, you can argue about social security or medicare, medicaid. But the only way you and your ilk will get full blown socialism in America is by subterfuge.

Instead of throwing a grandma over a cliff, it should have been showing him throwing a grandma under a bus. Afterall, he has actually had a lot of very public experience with this ... throwing his own 'typical white person' grandma under the bus and all ....

Universal healthcare is an antithesis to the Constitution and the free market system.

Change what America is, and you'll get your socialism.

That's it.

When ObamaCare is thrown out by the SCOTUS in June 2012 then we will need a

free market system solution. Paul Ryan has already come up with one.

And ... there is no such thing as 'free healthcare' in other countries ...
There is no such thing as a free lunch. SOMEONE has to pay for it.

I'd love to see the entire world get 'free health care' .... but that's impossible without
screwing over the doctors and chemists and others who work very hard.
They deserve fair compensation. Otherwise, you are just stealing their services

Thank God we have congresswomen like Nancy Pelosi demonstrating the absurd to

all Americans. " Lets pass ObamaCare so we can find out what's inside it."

She is the gift that just keeps on giving.

She spent the entire 8 years telling Americans that President George W. Bush was

solely responsible for the high gas prices.

Now it's an Achilles heel for Obama.

Its funny how a lot of people on ATS claim to love their fellow man but, due the rampant hypocrisy on ATS, will refuse to pay a small amount of taxes for universal health care.

"Socialism!" They scream as if that somehow makes it bad. Or "Its your own fault!" they insist, as if they never had any help fixing their mistakes.

Its sad to see so much hypocrisy, but it is expected. Do not worry, my friends. Even though you would never help me, if the time came where it was necessary to do so for you, I would. : )

When you are old and have sickness and when you are denied health care, it will be my liberal "socialist" programs that keep you alive. I wouldn't have it any other way.

It's not so much the tax with many people.

It's the thievery and corruption.

now imagine me x 20 people around you.

You see the issue yet?

There's a lot of Obama policies I disagree on, and health care isn't perfect (no public option, that's what's bad!), but your accusations are laughable.

Womb to the tomb healthcare won't work here in the USA.

We have passed the bill. We have read the bill and we don't like it.

Now the SCOTUS will throw it out.

Here is a common example of one person speaking for everyone. I like it, but if I were to claim that everyone felt the same well that would be a bit presumptions, dontyathink?

The SCOTUS has also read it. They don't like what they see.

I just looked into my crystal ball. I see the date! June 29, 2012 the SCOTUS will

make their ruling. -- Unconstitutional --

It was a joke to a silly video. I love my parents and my Grandparent! This is a scare tactic and I am tired of it. Watch the video without sound it is silly and funny. Both Republican'ts and Demoncrates are corrupt and both need to go away. And unfortunately they are all Baby Boomers they need to step down and let the next Generation take over.

hmmm Obamacare is more likely to bankrupt the country than anything else.

(NaturalNews) According to new spending projections issued by the Congressional Budget Office (CBO), the costs associated with implementing Obamacare over the next ten years are more than double what the Obama Administration claimed when first pushing for its passage. Through 2022, the gross spending requirements for the federal government to fully implement this progressive form of universal healthcare in the U.S. are an astounding $1.76 trillion dollars, also written as $1,760,000,000,000.

Exactly, and all this money they get we already know it goes to paying the staff's salary pay check.

Costs like 500 bucks just to check into the emergency room, with that kind of scratch the medical field should be booming with new technologies everyday but no there too busy paying their debts to the staff.

Do you just have to write the acronym SCOTUS in every post or what? It's a little weird.

I live in the state with the worst healthcare in the country- the very last. 50th out of 50.

(A dyed in the wool RED state)

I am currently going back to school to become a doctor after having served my fellow Americans as a teacher in public schools for the last decade.

People here line up and wait up to ten hours to get into free clinic days. And these are working people, for those of you shouting 'welfare queens!'
'Obamacare' as it is so affectionately called, is not perfect, but at least it's a start.

I am very excited about returning to school to become a doctor and help our President make access to healthcare universal.

Ironic how Republicans had no problem spending 87 Billion a month in Iraq, yet are so concerned about getting fiscally responsible now that there is a Democrat trying to provide healthcare to children.

No profit in that, huh?
