Communism is just an economic system.
The level of self responsibility is still there for people that think about the majority, I wouldn't just stay home and do nothing because I have a social responsibility and this is important, at least to me.

Personalized growth doesn't equal only physical wealth to some people, luckily growth means much more than money..
The level of intelligence needed in any system is the same.
If you can't define your individuality and creativity with other ways than making money, I think you don't understand life.

The point is the FEAR... that is why this bogey man is brought out. Once fear is propagated,
the rational mind is suspended and that takes facts off the table and ends rational communication
with people who are rational. This creates frustration and anger in the once rational person and
that is how everyone is essentially controlled, with base emotion.

President Obama signed legislation reauthorizing the USA Patriot Act as well as his bank bailouts. Obama did an end-run around Congress to give a virtual amnesty to thousands of illegal aliens, halt their deportation, and help them get jobs. He continues the unconstitutional appropriation of legislative powers and corrupt & destructive policies of previous presidents.

When you have numerous government agencies, "czars", a Goldman Sachs administration, and unlimited finances there is really no way to know what is going on or who specifically is responsible. You just know that they have an unrestricted capacity to do anything they please and that it needs to end. Obama's biggest fault is that he has done nothing to increase transparency, reduce the power of the federal government, reform campaign finance, or put an end to the hidden powers which control the nation. I can't financially compete with the political contributions of J.P Morgan nor could I legally do so it if I could. I also cannot force any of the local news stations to actually mention Ron Paul (at least once) before they influence the idiot vote by telling us who is winning.

A big difference between a district and a community is that the borders of districts are drawn, by a higher authority, with little regard for the cohesion of the people within it, whereas a community is defined by its cohesion.

If a system were to base its political actions on the desires and needs of its communities, then it would be similar to a republic. I would argue that, in terms of accountability to its constituents, this type of system would be even better than a republic, since the interests of communities are more coherent than the interests of districts. This type of system is what I would say deserves the label "communism" because its authority comes from the community.

You hint at something here that I feel deserves discussion. Yes, Nationalism is one key to the usurpation of power, it plays well to conservatives and Americans in general. American exceptionalism being but one meme supporting it. This is the bread and butter of Republican politics and war and external enemies are their motivating factors.

On the other hand we have the social progressives or liberals who tend towards socialist policies in their drive to achieve economic equality and civil parity (Democrats). They show strongest when there is a weak economy or recession and great numbers of unemployed and under-employed require government assistance.

The real trick here is how both Republican and Democrats are careful to use elements of both fascism and communism to acheive their ends. Americans would react strongly were only 1 type of method used but both parties are careful to play the game of blaming the other while quietly working hand in hand behind the scenes to implement a legislative and judicial control grid that benefits their corporate masters.

As a result most Americans blindly cling to one party or another or have completely given up on politics in disgust.

They won't have to maintain the charade much longer though, the veneer is wearing thin but their stranglehold on money and power is so complete it won't matter what we do.

It was a boring video for me although I did unfortunately watch the whole 8 minutes of it. What she says about (obviously) Obama is just total bollocks, she needs a brain scan. I and my parents also lived under communism and socialism, as well as many other eastern countries. Obama introducing a public health care service is light years away from east Germany communism regime. That woman basically suggests that Sweeden is a communist dictatorship because of health care, welfare and other social programs.
