A zillions worst things than the Dutch Catholic church cutting young mens' testicles off?

Seriously?

How can you seriously try to minimise the Dutch Catholic church cutting young mens' testicles off?

We have zillions worst things happening today and the last 10 years or so.

And 60 years ago, all over the world there were terrible things happening.

What about the gay men who are hung in Iran?

Do they get to contribute to the future?

I just think there are modern things to worry about, not things back a generation.

Abuse by some religious continues happening, due to the elite and their corruption. The religious leaders know fully well what they're doing in all the religions.

We're all called to be Buddha, the seeker, then to become Christed, the one who finds by going within and connecting to Source.

To me, it doesn't matter who commits what crime. A crime is a crime and a light needs to be shined upon it. There are so many crimes against women, children, and those we call "different". If someone commits a crime against them, we need to stop it, support the victim, if possible, and shine a light on the crime so whomever committed the crime can be stopped.

Religion, again.

Nothing ever surprises me when it comes to religion. It seems that 70% of the religious are hypocrites who use it to control others, 20% are truly psychotic maniacs who should never be trusted with children, and the remaining 10% are genuinely spiritual people who follow their hearts and believe in universal love and kindness.

That's why I will always say that all organized religion should be removed from public life. NO religion in government, no religion in medicine, no religion in state schools (unless you are educating children about the fundamentals and histories of spirituality and religion, not the teachings of a specific doctrine).

People can believe what they want, but religious organizations should be taxed, they should be investigated and monitored, they should not be trusted blindly with the lives and safety of others.

Secular organizations are just as bad, if not worse. Atheists butchered more people then any other group in history. Atheists are responsible for far more evil in the world then psychopaths who hide behind a robe. If anything, secularism needs to be stamped out of government, public life, schools, medicine. All secularism produces is morally inept people.

If you look at the report this was not just a digging up old wounds investigation of things that happened 60 years ago, the investigation was prompted by a substantial increase in the amount of reports of sexual abuse in 2010

I was a non-believer for the best part of my life (ten years or so) until my mother had a heart attack and had to have a triple heart bypass (I know people say you turn to god in the worse of times), but in the short time since i started to believe in a creator i have found it difficult to find the right religion, i believe that most have more interest in money and power than spiritual growth. i believe that there is a creator and not only did he create us but also beings on other worlds (otherwise its really a lot of wasted space).
