Go to Timeanddate.com and use their date calculator. If you include today, then it's 188 days, and if not then it's 187 days.

I been tryna tell people since yesterday, we're forgetting that this is a leap year. 1 extra day.

quakes.globalincidentmap.com shows a 6.4 in Guerrero, Mexico, a 6.0 and 6.2 in Papua, New Guinea, and a few rattlers in the San Diego area (4.2, 4.1, 3.9). Perhaps all the doomsayers predicting earthquakes by March 22nd weren't that far off.

Bloomberg is reported a 7.9 100 miles east southeast of Acapulco, Mexico (not showing on the global incident map).

A very strong quake and quite shallow at intially estimated depth of 10 km. And please note that the magnitude could be updated shortly (ie up or down):

I just happened to catch it being reported by a twitter user from where it happened, checked @breakingnews and it just appeared..Is this 188 days?

Wow.. Well I am a believer. How much more of a scientific formula do you need?

I was just about to post this! I can't find any good links though. Hopefully some more info will be released soon.

well i am def signing up to the 188 day cycle... this was really close to that, so even if its not perfect it def got closer than any other predictive system on when a major quake is going to happen, right?

I think before drawing conclusions, we should wait until tomorrow..

Updated to a 7.6. Still pretty significant. This area has been shaking a lot lately. Pretty shallow too, at only around 11 miles deep.
