House Republicans unveil budget blueprint

Well they have done it now !!

WASHINGTON – House Republicans teed off an election-year fight with the White House and their Democratic colleagues Tuesday, unveiling a much-anticipated budget which Rep. Paul Ryan said would move America away from a "dependent culture."

Democrats immediately blasted the plan as unbalanced, and favoring corporations over Medicare recipients.

The plan reprises a controversial proposal first pitched last year which would overhaul Medicare for those currently under 55. The plan would let those beneficiaries choose from a list of plans, including the traditional fee-for-service Medicare plan as well as private plans which the government would subsidize. ...

Republican Budget !

They also talk about tax reforms and some other things

(Nancy Pelosi is absolutely Furious !)

"The American people have already rejected this plan before -- and this year will be no different," said Minority Leader Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif. "The Republican proposal would end the Medicare guarantee, shift costs to seniors, and let Medicare wither on the vine while providing billions in tax breaks for Big Oil and special interests and destroying American jobs."

What do they mean by "dependent culture" ??

Pelosi needs to let the professional propangdists do the their job.
She's killing all their hard work.

I like how Nancy "We need to pass the bill, to see what's in the bill" Pelosi just automatically attacks this budget plan without even reading it.

The irony is laughable.

All 4 GOP candidates have already signed to Paul Ryans other plan...which essentially gives huge tax cuts for billionaires and corporations...while at the same time slashing social programs...or outright eliminating them...such as Medicare and Social Security. I have not read all the details on this one...but it's likely the same with some tweaks. I heard on the radio that there are 3 trillion dollars worth of tax cuts in this for the wealthy...although i cannot confirm it. Not only that, it's not much better debt wise either.

This is what is going to lose the election for them.

You simply can't campaign on doing something like this while at the same time cutting taxes for the incredibly wealthy when the wealth gap has already exploded.

GOP is on a suicide mission.
