Fragile Earth is very, very broad and to be honest, the past year or so has provided enough stories in the MSM to warrant the existence of a forum solely for the discussion of Extreme Weather, and lets be honest, this year is shaping up to be even worse.

Having all Earth related events in one place makes the Fragile Earth forum very clogged.

As a side note, IMO, Fragile Earth means things like Earthquakes, lad slides etc, not weather and solar topics.

I appreciate that but climate change, pollution and environmental issues don't cover solar output, which is going to be important for the next few years...and extreme weather, which seems to be more prevalent.

Fragile Earth seems to have become an area where you post any thread that relates to earthly topics but don't have a place in any other forum. Its more of a dumping ground of threads.

Hope this will be taken into consideration.
Thanks.

Me too please!
As PuterMan is to EQ's and Alysha.Angel (I think) is to volcanoes Pleeeeeeeease can we have Mr McLeod for EW (Extreme Weather!
)

If I had been born in the states I think it highly likely I would have been a storm chaser!

I also agree that an extreme weather forum would be beneficial so as to separate it from the other "fragile Earth" topics. Like a majority on ATS, I feel we're in for a hell of a ride....
I mean, I rang my father in El Paso, Texas today and it was 50 degrees there and around 80 here in Chicago. NORMALLY it would be reversed.....scary.

I would 1 up for an extreme weather specific forum as well. This would be very good from a peoples perspective especially if they can post personnel photos of these extreme weather patterns daily...

i support you in this mater.

i know that ATS is avoiding many different " specific " aspects
of the forum request due the the demand of topic related threads.

if the mods approved every reasonable thread request,
the top thread on here would be, how volcano and satellites have come into focus
over the new madrid fault and hatched the alien eggs witch in turn lead to Al Gore
inventing the A$$ Hole gene ....

I also support this cause.

So here's a thread started today that just goes to show we need a section like this in ATS IMHO

An extreme weather forum is a wonderful idea.
As KonquestAbySS said it would be great to have local reports of events all in one place
This would give everyone a much broader view of climate change globally.

I wonder if we'll get an answer from ATS Admin?

Well maybe we should U2U all those wonderful people who contributed to Hurricane bawbag!
There will be an awful lot of people who wont even look at this forum.

Just a quick question, why can't you start a thread in fragile earth like PuterMan has done for EQ's?
