Video uploads on ATS

Unless I have not located it, there does not seem to be a way of posting videos to ATS. It would be nice if ATS allowed the uploading of short videos...

Too many times these days videos just disappear from sites like youtube etc....Some gems have been lost...

Yeah, and he's obviously asking for a way to upload videos here instead of those because, these being his own words, "Too many times these days videos just disappear from sites like youtube etc....Some gems have been lost..."

Anyway, purplemer, there used to be a way of uploading videos here but if my memory serves me right it was taken down due to too many videos being uploaded which were copyrighted or something like that, I'm really not sure myself to be honest - But there was definitely a time where it was possible. Might be worth PM'ing SO, he's bound to know exactly.

I know how to embed videos. I thought it would be good if we could store our own archive of videos on ATS.. The same way you upload photos...

MATS (media at ATS) is currently dissabled.

It makes a lot more sense to up load your video elsewhere, and then to bring in
a link to ATS. Otherwise apart from any copyright Issues there maybe, the size of video
is an Issue all on it's own I would guess.


You can make an account on Google and store your vids there.

www.google.com...

I know i can make google accounts or utube accounts but that does not archive and save information. Videos are removed from these sites for a number of reasons..

If you can post videos there within the remit of copyright law then surely the same can be done here..
