Your missing the point.
If you have been paying attention to what has been going on in this country, it is not just about the molesting TSA Grabbers, but also add into that, the Patriot Act, NDAA, Super Spy Center they are building, and their also talking of expanding the TSA to other areas.

So where does it end?
It will be too late when you finally get to the realization that it is too much.

Terrorist Syndicate of America

You do know that this has been going on since we first started using metal detectors. Anyone with a metal plate or screws or rod, needs a letter from a doctor to get through security if it sets off the detectors.

Erm, no.
Before they would take you and use a hand held detector over your body part if you said you had something in it.

Now the TSA wants a doctors note.

Yeah, they search everyone BUT Arabs, its okay to harass everyone else, but the MOMENT they go to search someone of Arab descent, theyre accused of profiling, and you know what? I believe they SHOULD profile. Every recent suspected terrorist has been of Arab descent, not old ladies, not kids in wheelchairs or mothers carrying breast milk

### terrorists hurt that child.

While this is disgusting in essence, the officer was conducting it in a professional matter, even to the extent to ask the father to pull the child's shirt up. Furthermore, it is always possible for terrorists to find new way to smuggle explosives, and through children may be one of those ways.It is just a precautionary measure. Still, however i don't accept the treatment of children like that.

It is quite a controversial and difficult act to debate. On one hand it is for safety, and for good, on the other, it can be viewed as a bad act, subjecting children to searches. I, on this matter, sit on the fence. It is both good and bad.

I don't like the TSA or their policies.

Unfortunately, there have been cases involving drug smuggling where parents have used their children as the mule.

This is one of those cases where they have to check out a motorized wheelchair before allowing it on the plane.

No matter who is in the wheel chair I think it must be mandatory or at the very least standard procedure to swab the wheelchair.

I think the TSA agent went too far making the child lift his shirt though. There was no need for that.

Did you read the opening post? This thread is literally just about bashing the TSA. These threads are quite common. They start with a picture of a child in a wheelchair or an old lady and the comments range from "disgusted" to "we're now North Korea." It's honestly a lot of overreaction.

With the other stuff you mentioned, sure it's a problem. There is a line and it's probably already been crossed. However, the TSA is necessary. If you don't want to go through the security, then don't fly.

Holy overreaction people.

That agent was doing their job and I think it was handled the best way possible. This is the world we live in. If you want to travel by air, you have to accept this. You think extremists wouldn't use any method they could think to slip by security? Guess again.

I had my, then, 4 and 7 year with me on a plane trip a few years ago after 9-11. We got selected for random search, all 3 of us. I told my kids before the search that the guards needed our help to keep everyone safe on the plane by practicing searching. I went first to show is was easy and safe. No ogling, no groping, nothing perverse happened to my kids. I was standing within arms length of my kids the entire process. Was it a hassle? Yes. But the only thing we "lost" was 10 minutes of our that we have spent just sitting on the airplane waiting to take off.

You people are out of your minds to say anything inappropriate went on. You all are making it sounds like they strip-searched the kid in a private room without the parent being present.

Great job. I applaud you. The way you are leading your children and showing them that everything is A-OK. It is just fine to have these people go through your things and rub you down because it KEEPS YOU SAFE! Let this be a lesson to the child in the video, your children and all children of the world. These things are necessary I tell you. If we don't do it the terrorists will be blowing up planes every day. I just don't understand why we don't have more of this at bus stations and train stations. Heck, we should even be looking for people entering major metropolitan areas in private vehicles because you never know when one of those sneaky al-qaeda ppl will blast the place to pieces, or worse. I say, good on you! Way to show them how to work within the system and, above all, STAY SAFE!

Anyone who has the time and liberty to sit here whining about the TSA has....

...the time and liberty to whine.

Maybe it's not so bad and your liberties aren't as eroded as you might think. Maybe your real problem is a matter of perspective.

Maybe you need a stint in a real oppressive regime where whining about airport security would seem like a walk in the park.

spare me the devils advocate speech and do some research about how our government is treating our own citizens. it goes further than perspective when the facts are right in front of you.

And spare me the crocodile tears about how horridly the poor, poor American people are treated while boarding their flights to Vegas and NYC. Oh my God! Some old lady had to be patted down! Oh my God! Some kid had to walk through a scanner! The horror! The horror! How did we ever become this totalitarian regime?

Please. The very fact that THIS is an affront to you is a testament to how easy you have it.

LIVID is a far too generous of describing this. sure the TSA has a job to do, but do you know how many terrorists they actually nabbed since 9/11? (this title was great, by the way). none. thanks for this post as a reminder why DO NOT and WILL NOT fly.... (and, just an observation, but would a 3 yr old really have fun with disney in a cast?). this has gone too far for far too long.

Makes me want to

I think you all need a reality check here.

Look, if you have quibbles about the Patriot Act or the efficacy of TSA's security procedures, that's all well and good.

But to try to turn the random pat down or body scan into the cornerstone of that argument, you really need to get a grip.

I'll tell you precisely what's happening here. You're all having a hard time dealing with what RANDOM means. So you all find the inevitable, ludicrous case of when an obvious non-terrorist RANDOMLY gets selected, and you have melt downs over how Americans have no personal liberties anymore and the TSA is worth nothing and how America just doesn't make any sense any more, does it Danny? and OMG the terrorists have won.

All because you apparently don't know how RANDOM works.

So relax, everyone, and have a chill pill. RANDOM means sometimes even a quadriplegic nun handing out Light & Love good vibration beads may get pulled aside for a pat down. And while all the on-lookers shriek in horror and record the event on their smartphones to post on YouTube as proof that the fascist powers that be will soon be marching us all off to the gas chambers, nodding to each other in self-righteous indignation while arguing that the whole affair has so affected their fragile psyches that Frontier absolutely must upgrade them to First Class--they're entitled to it, after all--the nun quietly submits to the pat down and is through the horrors of a random gloved hand in under 30 seconds flat, all without batting an eye....because the nun, after all, has lost each of her limbs and knows what constitutes Real Problems in life, and guess what, everybody....

...this ain't one of them.
