Proof?

How do you prove something is non existent, other than the fact it ceases to exist?

This is one of my favorite lines by theists

With proof. Euclid did it.

Metal Heads especially think it is 'weak' to believe in God...

Your generalizations are getting pretty scary.

Are you saying people who listen to metal, can't hold a belief in god? If so, then you are associating metal with atheism, which to you is baby killing cannibalism. Are you a baby killing cannibal then??

Here's some facts for you...

There are metal bands that don't believe in god.
There are metal fans that don't believe in god.

There are christian metal bands.
There are christian metal fans.

There are business men who don't believe in god.
There are religious business men.

There are police who don't believe in god.
There are police who do.

It goes for anything. A belief or disbelief in god does not create your character. There are psycho killers who believe in god. There are psycho killers who believe they are god. There are psycho killers who do not believe in god. There are psychos, period. Their beliefs or disbeliefs don't mean anything, because the processor running the programming is already flawed from the start.

well I buzz nice and loud when I go thru a metal detector but I believed in God. (pretty shocking I know)

You have just proven my point.

Atheism and god do not go together in a sentence unless "does not believe in" is put in between.

You still have not figured this out?

If you didn't see my edit, I'll ask it again. Are you defending Vixen's gnosticism? Because they are saying something about their knowledge of God, like it's a fact. I'd like to see some proof to their conclusion.

Now you're telling me that you can't. I really don't know if they could so why would I say whether or not they could?

Are you sure that they couldn't? Are you gnostic as well?

I am defending logic.
It is not logical to conclude something exists without ANY SINGLE shred of evidence EVER to conclude it exists. That is called a myth.

I'd like to see some proof to their conclusion.

We would like to see proof to your conclusions, as you are the one who made the claim in the first place. We simply refuse illogical claims based on myth.

Are you sure that they couldn't? Are you gnostic as well?

I am atheist, that is all.
I do not believe in the existence of a God, because no evidence of existence has been given in the thousands of years this myth has been perpetuated.

Could you imagine if court systems worked on the rules of theism?
What a mess

we've heard it a million times man give it up...

Atheist wake up one morning and decide

I am my own God and blahh blahh

that is not really sounding too cool in a society based on theistic values and in a judgement higher than their own personal truth.

truth will destroy all!

It's not logical to say something doesn't exist without proof that it doesn't.

Show me the proof to what you're talking about and I'll demolish it.

What the heck do you think my conclusion is? I said I don't know. Are you saying I should find proof for that?

I'm liking the title of this thread even more.

I am atheist, that is all.
I do not believe in the existence of a God, because no evidence of existence has been given in the thousands of years this myth has been perpetuated.

Well, then quit defending the claim to knowledge, it makes atheists look pretty silly.

Could you imagine if court systems worked on the rules of theism?

I don't even know where that came from. You could have just as easily had said: "Could you imagine if court systems worked on the rules of hamburgers?" Do you even know what you're talking about at this point?

That's weird, because I haven't used god to describe myself, and I am an atheist.

Society is not based on theistic values, theistic values are based on society.
As has already been proven, society existed long before the bible!

how mature of you!

It's not logical to say something doesn't exist without proof that it doesn't.

To prove something doesn't exist, first there needs to be a proof showing its existence. The rules of the existence of god need to be set by the people who made up the myth. If they can not do that, then there is nothing other than myth.

What the heck do you think my conclusion is? I said I don't know. Are you saying I should find proof for that?

By your logic, yes, you need a proof for that.

I'm liking the title of this thread even more.

I'm happy for you

Well, then quit defending the claim to knowledge, it makes atheists look pretty silly.

Where did I say that?
There is no knowledge in myth.

I don't even know where that came from. You could have just as easily had said: "Could you imagine if court systems worked on the rules of hamburgers?" Do you even know what you're talking about at this point?

I will make it simpler for you, since your intellectual capability seems to be dwindling with every post you make.

Judge: I think you committed a murder, even though I have no evidence to base this conclusion off of. Call it faith. I sentence you to life in prison.
