I've often thought about this very same question and despite being a calm and peaceful kind sort of person I know without a shadow of a doubt that I would go on one massive payback rampage against all the people who have seriously wronged me in my life.

What started that hurt inside you? Yours is certainly a viable answer, and not here to judge you, I've never walked a step in your shoes, much less a mile. I'd imagine millions of people share your sentiments. What if you purposed to just love despite the hurt you feel inside? What if you just purposed to love everyone for 1 month?

Would you try that for me? Thanks for your contributions to the thread.

Quit my job tomorrow and spend the next month with my family.
Make sure all my financial affairs were in order to make it easier for the family after I am gone.

30 days?

Jeez life's too short for that question. It depends, how much cash do I have? I'd go to Nevada for a vacation...

Can I, please?

Haha, whatever you choose, it's up to you. I'm just trying to foster discussion. Trying to get into people's minds to make them think about it. Introspection. What would you do?

What would your legacy be? Would you be known as the town drunk? the guy on death row? The man who beats his wife down the street? Or will you be remembered for noble things? For honorable things? The town giver? The man who loved everyone and did all he could to help anyone who asked?

What would you do? Thanks for sharing friend, I'll buy your condoms for you, wait, nevermind, you don't need those anymore do ya??

lol

There is actually a term for that condition, it's called Angel Lust.

Okay, I like that. Your concern is for others, for helping those you love and cherish as best you can when you aren't there no more. Noble indeed. Thanks.

ODing on Viagra?

Seriously? haha? The fact there is a "term" for it means it's happened waaaaay too often.

Haha thanx mate. I understand guess I'm just in a goofy mood, not trying to disrespect your thread.

To be serious I really don't care what people will think of me when I'm gone. I already spend far too much energy worrying about what people think of me now. ba-boom...

Do I have to wear a condom?

Ok seriously now, I guess I'd go home to where I grew up, see family and old friends, old haunts, find my asshole brother, try not to feel sorry for myself.

It's a very fair response and probably one that I would give to others myself if the tables were turned.

You see by nature I am a very caring and considerate person. I always put others before myself and I would give my last sip of water to another in a desert if it was needed. I am also very trusting and a fair and honest person that lives by the principles instilled in me by my parents and that is to be a good and honest person.

A sad fact of life is that there are always people who are willing to take advantage of certain qualities in people that they may see as weaknesses. Some people who you think are your friends turn out to be the very same people who commit depraved acts against loved ones, yet because you are a good person you refrain from following your basic instinct to attack.

The only thing that has stopped me from from taking such instinctive action is my respect for the law and the status quo, but if I only had 30 days for sure, I'm sorry but all those restraints would disappear and I would seek my utmost revenge on behalf of those who suffered and never found justice from our twisted legal system who seek to protect offenders rather than victims.

My only other very real concern though is how I myself will be judged on my judgement day in front of the only judge who really does matter.

Like I said, I do.
A couple of years back I had a pretty close call and all of the advice my doctors had for me, quit smoking, watch your health, yada yada.
Yeah, sure doc...
Someday I want to die!
HOWEVER, dying requires that I have lived first.
I do not want to die leaving a perfect specimen behind, like Jim Fixx.
I want to leave a battered, beaten, rusted out old hulk behind!

It is better to burn out than to fade away!

I wouldn't do anything different. That is, I'd do exactly what I'm doing now. Working, studying, helping out my family, spending some time with friends.

I know bro, I was being goofy too. People don't need condoms who are gonna die in 30 days. lol Naaa, when you only got 30 days it's time to "man up" at that point, and live your life as best you can. you can't spend a week depressed on the couch watching "The View" ya know?

(If fact, if I did that I'd prolly pull the trigger early)

But i like the answer of trying to mend things with your brother, I love reconciliation, always feels good. Have you ever considered that now just in case either him or you died unexpectedly?

Hey Studio!

I'm glad my question didn't offend you, I was a tad leery about "goin there", just in case it was still a fresh wound ya know? I'm the same as you. The same. But I think what keeps those evil thoughts that pop in my mind from time to time from coming to fruition is that last sentence in your post my friend. Keep loving, keep serving those in need. You're a good man, tell that devil on your left shoulder to shut his trap. My greatest joy in life, now, is helping people who are in need, or giving things to people who need. It makes me feel good, and I KNOW that came from Jesus. The old man? Ummmm, no, not a chance in Hell. Thank God that man is dead.

Honor and respect your way.

My bad, I misunderstood you. Amen, should have linked "Blaze of Glory" Bon Jovi lol.

I hear ya. Is there any relationship in your life that you wish was better? And regrets from old ones that you can mend? I just watched the news and YouTube videos of the soccer player from the UK that died on the field yesterday and was revived at the hospital, I prayed for him, I had an extreme quickening in my spirit to pray for him, don;t know why. But there was a purpose I don't yet perceive. But it was after this thread, and I saw the tears of those in the audience watching them try and resuscitate the guy on the field.

I get the feeling his time isn't done yet, that he has a purpose. I hope that's from God and not me, I'm usually wrong.

Hey Lefty!

Are you saying that because you always live you life like you had 30 days, or you're just happy now? Thanks for joining the discussion, I appreciate it! I love the working part, the helping others part and the building relationships part. The world needs more like you.

Nice hat btw.

Hello! I joined this site (at first) just to reply to this thread.

If I had only 1 month, I would use that to its fullest advantage. I would try to make right whatever I might have made wrong in my life...i.e. big one...go back and fix my relationship with my ex wife, ;

I would try to do something new...even as futile as it might be...learn a new language, learn to fix my car, whatever...something that I might feel can contribute to the rest of us...

Wow, I'm honored. Welcome to ATS!

I love your answers. Great! All your focus is on others.
Have you considered after posting here to try any of those avenues? This thread dis giving me the idea of what it would be like if was all lived like we only had 30 days. I mean, not the crazy stuff, lol, but what do you think? I've been inspired by everyone's responses.

What brought you to the ghetto of ATS, the R,F, & T Forum? We're all crazy way down here, they don't let us out too much.
