Does anyone know about NASA launching 5 rockets from Virginia today?

Any information about this?

Its theAnomalous Transport Rocket Experiment (ATREX)

They are launching the rockets to study the winds at the edge of space and their effect on the jet stream.

Once they do go up you may actually be able to see some what they are doing as...

The five rockets will release a chemical tracer that will form milky, white tracer clouds that allow scientists and the public to "see" the winds in space. In addition, two of the rockets will have instrumented payloads, to measure the pressure and temperature in the atmosphere at the height of the high-speed winds.

They were supposed to launch last night, but it got cancelled due to some problem with one of the rockets GPS.

At least that is what I recall. I was watching it this morning and the mission was cancelled at about 12:30am (EST).

I'm actually looking forward to this and hoping that I will be able to get some pics to post when it finally does happen. I am right in the "line of view" so....

Here's hoping that we will get some good shots.

We have scrubbed tonight's launch attempt due to unacceptable weather. The next launch attempt will be midnight to 3 a.m., Friday, March 23. The webcast will begin tomorrow night, Thursday, March 22, at 8 p.m.
