Now with this we are one step further to I don't know. But the only thing I can say for sure it will be ugly !

My personal opinion is that is time for a Declaration of Independence for myself and yourself, I guess everyone can agree with it that to let other people decide for your and my future brought us into this mess.

"whether you like it or not"

Don't you see how much that one statement undermines everything you said about fariness and equality OP? Don't you see just how totalitarian that statement is and how it can only lead to conflict?

Tribalism is natural, so whether people are subject to one single government or not they will still organise along ethnic and cultural lines - they won't simply abandon their heritage. Look at the UK - the government have tried for hundreds of years to get us to abandon our ideas of 'Englishness', 'Scottishness', 'Irishness', 'Welshness' - yet despite being ruled over by one government, we still see ourselves as separate. And separation does NOT have to be a bad thing so long as there's a mutual respect.

The only way what you're talking about could ever work OP, would be to eradicate all the things which separate people - religion, heritage, race, culture, language. And I personally find the idea of a world without diversity, heritage and wonder so bleak that I wouldn't want to live in it.

It terrifies me that this thread has had so many stars and flags. I think it might be time for me to put a little less faith in ATS.

Whether you like it or not, the closer we get to a one-world government, the worse things are. Not sure if you've noticed, but things are getting worse, not better.

What you are referring to is basically a global welfare state where you have a few supporting the many. No thank you. I'll pass. Either that, or I'll just quit working and be one of the many. You have just officially removed my incentive to work.

If we would stop all of the needless wars and STOP NATION BUILDING, the money saved could easily feed and clothe those in need. Easily. When you create a system that promises to take care of those who "can't" take care of themselves, you create a welfare state. Billions of dollars have been dumped into the inner cities over the last 5 decades and guess what? They're still on welfare. Look at any state provided housing project; they are disasters. They are pig stys and most people don't want to go anywhere near them. This is what a welfare state mentality breeds and if you had your way, this is what the world would look like. The population would be looking to the government for our support and sustenance.

I agree with the overall message, OP.

But I think it's less about unity, social / monetary class differences, etc, etc, (those will always exist) it's more about advancing us as a species. If we are going to advance humanity as a whole, we need to function as a cohesive unit and explore the cosmos together as one *race*, much like our nations function today, but on a larger scale.

See my thread in my sig, below - 'Only One Conspiracy'.

Everyone looks at the NWO or a One-World Government 'option' as always the terrifying Alex Jones or Orewellian 1984 model. It doesn't have to be like that.

Good food for thought, anyway.

I don't like it...I will never give my consent to that will have to force me to obey...I will not, and neither will those like me. By forcing people into submission your world government will be seen for the illegitimate monster that it will be. The power of whoever would be in control over such a government will be undisputed with no need to listen to the people. Corruption will be without the possibility of justice, who could challenge such a power? "Who is like unto the beast? who is able to make war with him?" None. No, it is a fraud and a lie that unlimited power would not also bring unlimited corruption along with it. If the time comes that world government is forced upon me, I will chose to live free or die.

This particular thread is madness. I'm just quite literally perplexed with the idea that this would be beneficial in some way! Even those with the best intentions are not going to be able to stop people from hating other people. You will always have someone discontent. Why am I working harder than him? Why can't I have week off for my belief system? Who has the right to tell a woman they can only birth one child? What do you mean I have to educate my children to your specifications?

We fought World War II to stand united against the idea of a NWO because a madman took his magnetism and charm and convinced an entire country that genocide was an acceptable behavior. He wanted your one world order too, ya know. He actually felt he was doing God's will and felt justified and vindicated in his treatment of people who looked different or believed different from him. He thought he was chosen.

This would happen today, or three hundred years into the future. It is human nature and it's not changing anytime soon in my opinion. You would have divisions, as people instinctively seek out like minded individuals to have as friends. People are egotistical, selfish beings who generally don't look past their personal addictions. Whether that be TV, sugar, over eating, drugs, sex, exercising too much, not enough - we will always be different from one another which will ALWAYS have other people telling different people how they should live! Dissension would ensue and there crumbles the big ole cookie called the NWO. With a world that still discriminates, how could we even enter into the idea that centralizing all our governments would be good for anybody? You cannot stop a dictator (like the ones from past and present) who is going to claim to be "chosen" and then curb the genocide that would ensue! Eugenics is still a serious topic the UN has passing it's panel as solutions to world hunger and overpopulation! People hate other people for very simple differences. Religious intolerance, racial intolerance, because they smoke cigarettes or are fat - we still are battling ignorance in it's most basic forms! A new world government would complicate these very REAL diseases of the human condition in my opinion.

Even those with the best intentions of trying to change the world for the better - are going to find that their "kindness" flies in the face of others. Should we see a one world government come to pass, we'd be slaves and those in power would still be in power. We lack the will and strength to even demand our monetary systems change, but somehow a new government is going to solve all our problems? Bull. Why would they care about us later, when they don't even care now? Just because the banner changes, doesn't mean their intentions have.

We need a one world government, whether you like it or not.

This statement is loaded in many ways, but maybe everyone should look at it a bit differently so that both sides can agree upon something. This is Happening Now, and everyone that wants to Fight Rebel, take down etc. I do understand completely, as I am NOT a follower of any sorts, and also do not like to be told what to do. I understand completely how Centralize Government ruins the Party. So the question becomes in Reality.

The One World Government Is Almost Here Now, How do we Manipulate it to Suit Humanity, Not the Elites, Power Hungry Psycho's, or Military Warlords and Religious NUTS?? There must be a way, as stated before to have this work,,,(Because, yes it is Going to Happen) within the framework of Bottom UP not TOP DOWN pyramid. The Elite/etc must somehow be Neutered, and I only see that Happening by Grassroots/Local Government being Strong, yet Willing to Understand this Is ONE EARTH, and we ALL Already live within a Global Culture. Yes, there can be room for ethnic/cultural diversity within the broader scope of Being Part of a Federation that Acknowledges We Have Only ONE PLANET,, that in the past/present is defined by artificial boarders.
I agree with the persons that have called me names that the UN, and other World Organizations of Present are destructive to this true ideal. They somehow have to be either Remodeled or Rebooted from Ground up.
Many on this board have done nothing but attack this OP's Thread, when the truth is this is Already Happening.
Many of the fierce statements from loyal Constitutionalist here in USA, are screaming Bloody murder,, but I have said before on other Threads '''Where were you when it was happening Here?" Where would they be when the Government comes for Me?? I don't hold much stock that many if any would aid me in the Present, when the IRS comes for me because I refuse to pay an Entity that exhorts my living wage, then uses it to Kill Innocent women and children abroad,,, and Our Congress enacts a Law stating that THEY,,, OUR GOVERNMENT HAS THE RIGHT TO KILL AMERICANS WITHOUT DUE PROCESS,,, Hell It is scary enough with Due Process. Now we are all potential Terrorist and domestic threats. Where were all of you then,,,, here on ATS trouncing the few who have got out,,, like the OWS crowd?? I see many here as whiners, and complainers who only want their moment in the limelight as they Scream someone down by calling names.... They can't stay focused on the real issues so they take it out on those who Can.
The OP's Statement was this:
We need a one world government, whether you like it or not.
Personally I find this a True statement, and don't give a rats Ass if you call me communist/socialist or what.
I see the writing on the wall, and the only way to '''defeat'' the NWO and others of like mind is to do something NOW to take their power away and Make it Benefit HUMANITY,,,
This is the real issue, while so many argue that they don't want it,,, well tough it is Happening,,, I don't want a NWO type deal either,,, And I also am a Survivalist/Prepper ready TO GO,, if and when needed. Yet I do believe that WE,, (TOGETHER) Could Turn the Tables on the Elite Power Hungry and Make a WORLD GOVERNMENT that WORKS FOR US,,,,, NOT THEM.. That is the Only sane option as the NWO is already taking a lead,,, the masses sit around waiting for Jesus or some Messiah to save them.... Good luck with that one. as they cart your asses off.
So,, to all those who thought they knew me so well,,, and attacked me,,, not knowing how I really thiink.
Bug off as I said before,,, you don't know me.
Actually I said this if anyone cares to reread my posts here before,,,, WE ARE ON THE SAME SIDE.
Funny how hot it can get,,, and I admit I got pissed off some,,, but instead of whining I reread most of the posts here (almost ALL OF THEM) and found what I think is the point missing.
Bottom up is the way to go,,,, Compassion is needed NOW Most,, as we all have different views, needs, wants. and learning to be Kind in both action and speech is something more of us need to remember. I gathered from the personal attacks I have received here,,, that I should not have allowed it to bring me to the level of the attackers,,, but alas,,, I am Only Human,,, and EarthCitizen23.... so I will be more able now to speak without letting trashtalk bite me in the ass. Sorry if I offended any.
As I said before,, I just would like to discuss this subject rationally and politely.
There are a lot of smart people here,,, surely we can afford ourselves the nicety of manners while speaking on this and other subjects.

So,, to recap.
The World Government is coming.
We could ''hijack'' it from the Elite if we planned and thought it through, by
Grassroots/ Local strength in government,
By and far, we must all realize WE ARE ONLY ONE PLANET
and We already Live in a WORLD CULTURE.

So I say,,, When Life hands you Lemons,, Make Lemonade.

And You??

Because that is the only way we will come together.

The U.N. has limited power and has done a poor job. We need a one world government where laws would apply to every citizen of the world, and where a person living in Canada has the same rights as a mother living in the poorest country in Africa.

There is absolutely no reason whatsoever that we should have children starving to death because they cannot get even one meal a day, and then in another country we have billionaires just amassing wealth.

It just amazes me how there are a lot of people that are afraid of change. we do not need to isolate ourselves from each other. We need to come together as one. We need radical change. We do not need 200+ countries not agreeing with each other and going to war for stupid reasons. What we need is a global form of government, where the power will not go to a single person. But where the power will be divided and every corner of the world will have an opinion.

We need big change and we need it fast, our current system has failed for too long. So far the only things that it has given us are wars, inequality, and famine.

When someone brings up the term "One World Government" most people go into a defensive state of mind because that's what they have been conditioned to think.

Don't you get it? You think that you know what TPTB probably think that they want us to bring us all together and to put us under their rule. But to me that makes little sense.

Think about it, if they unite us under their "new world order" thing then that will give most of the population an "us against them" mentality where the probability of an uprising would be high.

But if they keep us separated by promoting inequality, and by keeping the current system then we would be falling in their trap. I mean we already have the TSA, everyday it seems we are at bring of war with some country. Israel seems like it wants to attack iran almost every week etc..

We need to bring about this change as soon as possible before it's too late.

Yes but because of deep rooted divisions on religion , ethnicity and cultural differences your one world utopia would have to be enforced and that mean a dictatorship , however benign its intentions it would still have to be a dictatorship with some figurehead in absolute power .

I always enjoy your insightful questions, Annee, and now I am glad to be asked one. Of course I am not the "only" one who matters, but there is only one being whose duty it is to make sure I am the healthiest, happiest, and most excellent being that I can be. And that one being is me. The real root cause of our general problem, in my not so humble opinion... let me say that again: THE REAL ROOT CAUSE OF OUR GENERAL PROBLEM is following the desire to "let someone else take care of me". Just to make sure no one misses it (because, dear Annee, no one of us is the only one who matters), I'll say it a third time: The real root cause of our general problem is following the desire to "let someone else take care of me".

We have all been participating in a social experiment/simulation designed by an Infinite Intelligence. Said Intelligence is gathering... intelligence
on what it would be like if... with the billions of permutations that are human lives. It honors the Infinite in ourselves, and it honors the Infinite, when we humans recognize that we, both collectively and individually, are ultimately responsible for every experience we have.

This level of responsibility is impossible where you have collectivism for any other reason than mutual love and respect. This is why there are many individualists speaking out here in such a strident way against the idea of 'a one world government whether you like it or not'. Only after I had written the phrase "Anarchical and Egalitarian", did I realize that the first response to the OP featured a sign held by a group of people with the encircled letters "A and E". I bet I can guess what words those two letters represent. Why? Because that poster and I are on the same wavelength: self-responsibility and self-sovereignty, which are actually two sides of the same coin, just as pride and worthlessness, or irresponsibility and enslavement.

It's not that no one else matters, Annee... it's that if we want a different world, we owe it to ourselves to insist on the best world possible. The world is now changing, and this level of change is not an every-millenium opportunity. Let's go for it!

I so agree with you, why would we even want the homogenousness? The world would be so bland. I think multiculturalism is great, but too much of it can cause chaos. How can we all preserve those things which are so meaningful to us without chaos? TPTB create chaos so they can have their NWO. I think part of the plan for multiculturalism is to lose national sovereignty not keep it. In their plan we lose our identities anyway.
Take the UN and the World Council of Churches for example. In the effort to make all the different religions get along, they take various religions and gut them to sanitize them and make them more acceptable. Then they insert the lies of Marxism and communism. This is happening right now in the Catholic Church. In theory it sounds great right? Just bring all those different religions under one roof and have them drumming their drums and have their prayer circles and dances and so on. They have done this at UN Summits. But they sneak in the controlling elements.

Here are the words of Pope Pius X concerning a One World Religion

"And now, overwhelmed with the deepest sadness, We ask Ourselves, Venerable Brethren, what has become of the Catholicism of the Sillon? Alas! this organization which formerly afforded such promising expectations, this limpid and impetuous stream, has been harnessed in its course by the modern enemies of the Church, and is now no more than a miserable affluent of the great movement of apostasy being organized in every country for the establishment of a one-world church which shall have neither dogmas, nor hierarchy, neither discipline for the mind, nor curb for the passions, and which, under the pretext of freedom and human dignity, would bring back to the world (if such a church could overcome) the reign of legalized cunning and force, and the oppression of the weak, and of all those who toil and suffer. We know only too well the dark workshops in which are elaborated these mischievous doctrines which ought not to seduce clear-thinking minds."

Attacks on religion by humanists and secularists are part of the plan of the UN to control religion and bring it under one umbrella, homogenize it, make it bland, and destroy it.

The Vatican is already infiltrated.

In reading many comments on threads over the months, I have seen so much hatred of Christianity(but hateful comments rarely center on other religions, but often at religion in general) and even comments that sound just like this:

As you read these short excerpts from UNESCO's Declaration on the Role of Religion, try to remember where and when you last heard these politically correct attitudes or assertions
“Religions have… led to division, hatred, and war.”

Here is something I find riveting

John Foster Dulles, who later became Secretary of State in the Eisenhower administration, chaired the conference. As head of the Federal Council's inter-Church “Commission to Study the Bases of a Just and Durable Peace,” Dulles submitted the conference report. It recommended:
a world government of delegated powers

immediate limitations on national sovereignty

international control of all armies and navies

a universal system of money

worldwide freedom of immigration

a democratically controlled international bank

even distribution of the world’s natural wealth.[15]

That was 1942! Soon afterwards, Time magazine wrote a summary of the report. In its statement below, notice these words: “a new order... through voluntary cooperation within the framework of democracy or through explosive political revolution.” This solution, “voluntary cooperation within the framework of democracy” gives us a glimpse of the true meaning of nice-sounding words such as democracy, volunteerism, participation (involving everyone in the consensus process), partnerships, and civil society:
“Some of the conference’s economic opinions were almost as sensational as the extreme internationalism of its political program. It held that a ‘new order of economic life is both imminent and imperative” – a new order that is sure to come either ‘through voluntary cooperation within the framework of democracy or through explosive political revolution.’ Without condemning the profit motive as such, it denounced various defects in the profit system for breeding war, demagogues and dictators…. Instead, 'the church must demand economic arrangements measured by human welfare…'”[16]

It was the debate between the Jeffersonians and Hamiltonians in the Federalist Papers. The only solution is the OPPOSITE: a DECENTRALIZATION of power..and eventually DISTRIBUTED NETWORKS.. Centralized power is, and always will be , the desire of TYRANTS!!! And AUTHORITARIANS...

Yes, we do need global governance

And it is comming like it or not.
It is one of the steps we must take to become an
advanced space faring civilization.

Bring it on I say

I completely agree. I've thought about this issue for some time now and the more I look at the advancement of our technology the more it calls for a unified global society if we are to continue progressing. There are a lot of aspects to it yet it can be done however NOT at our present state of emotional intelligence. There are so many aspects to this I'm not sure where to start so I will just start... Btw let me preface this with these are my own thoughts. I am not a expert in economics or politics or history so take this for what you will...
1. Let's start with technology and the advancement thereof. Our technological advancement has made the world smaller... plain and simple... People's lives have been slowly and gradually affected (due to this advancement) more and more by a growing community. The world has gotten smaller but communities have gotten larger so to speak.
300 years ago the thought of traveling to another country in a couple of hours was unheard of! A person's community was what... their town (IF THAT). The economic system supported this life style due to limited competition because of the small size of the communities (or should I say limited geographical competition?). Technology has changed that COMPLETELY. No longer are the small local businesses competing with each other. Now competition comprises of other companies in other cities, states, around the nation, and the world. This competition is only EXPANDING! Our interrelatedness with each other is consistently growing! And when I say each other I'm talking about people... homo-sapiens in general.
Technology is not slowing down and this connection will only deepen and deepen (as it should). Therefore we must change with technology (as it is changing our societies) and I feel this is happening slowly. This hyper connectivity creates a need for a new system because the old system is NOT BUILT with this issue in mind imho. A system of competitive-cooperation is what is needed. This leads to point:
2. Economic competition and the limits of such in promoting a prosperous GLOBAL community. Looking at today's world and the pool of ideas, thoughts, products, viewpoints that we have access too creates a unique position where the level of competition has increased 100 fold. Slowly as time has gone on the pool of people that we compete against for college admission, jobs, sports, etc. has expanded. This greatly increases the pressure on people obviously (which could be a reason why so many are falling to the wayside).
The system of competition without cooperation on such a large scale creates a number of problems when it comes to economics, education, and the sharing and development of ideas for the betterment of our society and planet. Now don't get me wrong I am speaking in generalized terms and in global aspect (I recognize there are exceptions to this and that these exceptions are slowly growing) Lets take "financial profits" for example. I speak of financial profits because it seems to dominate a large portion of our mindset, thinking, and social/individual goals at this point in time. How many great and wonderful ideas, or inventions, that could have had large, and far reaching, positive impact in our lives and for the world were shelved, or discarded, because it would not have made a profit?
One this global scale, this global community, to truly progress our species things that provide for the betterment of our lives and the world need to exist outside the arena of financial profit. Hence the need for a new economic system that supports this. Now with that new system is a need for cooperative-competition. By that I mean a system where competition (which promotes challenge and growth) is fostered under the umbrella of cooperation (which promotes growth and learning) to promote development through open and free sharing and dialogue. Not the hording of ideas/resources because WE (or I) need to make sure THEY don't get these things so WE can profit and "be", "have", "do", "control" more than THEM. It's a limited, simplistic system, that only works in a world that is NOT as connected as we are now. This leads to point 3:
I'm running out of room so see my second post:
3. Emotional intelligence and the development of empathy. Continued...

You may be completely sincere, but now what I am hearing from you, you have changed your tune from just wanting us to understand why spiritually you think a One World Govt is good for us to how you think we should just accept it as already being here and manipulate it to what we want it to be. So, now you think you can manipulate the system they spent hundreds of years putting into place and make it nicey nice. Are you planning to live within the construct of the Federal Reserve which they have set up? The Globalist corporations they have running things, the multi national corporations which have no country or loyalty? Do you think they plan to give up their FEMA camps and the underground military bases and the industrial military complex and let you live happily ever after? What will you do when you figure out that the system they have in place is too strong and it turned out to not be what you thought you wanted? What will you do when they take your paycheck and say, well you had your 5 drops of water, let someone else have your ration now?

3. Emotional intelligence and the development of empathy. Lets understand the key to unifying as a global community, and having it be a society of sharing and not domination, is empathy and sympathy imo (key aspects of emotional intelligence I believe). In order for us to grow past this focus on the tribal mindset (e.g. our nation vs your nation in competition for this or that) we must develop our empathy and sympathy.
100 years ago would society in general have given a crap about human rights violations in Egypt? Africa? Syria? NO. They wouldn't even have known about what was going on most likely. Again this comes back to the influence of technology in our present society. We could watch the Arab Spring unfold right on our tv sets or monitors. We can watch the instability unfolding in Syria, hear about a earthquake in Japan and send money to AID the Red Cross with relief efforts. Why? Technology has expanded our access to the world and as a result the opportunity to develop our emotional intelligence due to being exposed to a wider viewpoint of the world (and not only with humans but I mean literally the world).
"What man does not understand, he fears; and what he fears, he tends to destroy." This quote is so true and history has demonstrated this... I will add to that not only what he fears but what he does not understand due to lack of exposure and ignorance towards. Exposure creates understanding (in general terms). As our exposure to the rest of the world grows and grows so will our sense of connection.
Who would have thought that citizens in Italy would care if a Texas killed a man on death row! This would NOT have occurred 100 years ago! Our present system of political division does not support this level of connection. Our present political system is the "us" vs "you" mentality and it supports that! In order to begin ushering in this new paradigm we must start with our children. Us adults imo are too stuck in our ways (generally speaking) to really think of significant change and a release of this mentally. I struggle with it myself! ESPECIALLY those in power now.
We must begin to teach our children about cooperative-competition in all aspects of life. It must be included in our education systems, in our economic systems, medical systems, entertainment systems... This is a long process yet it must, and I feel eventually, be achieved due to more and more realizing the need for it. Now this brings my to another point I want to cover before ending.

This next brief point is on the idea of "Utopia". People often use utopia as a weapon to support the viewpoint that a better, more humane, more emotionally progressed society can't be achieved. First let me say that the whole idea of utopia is crap... A utopia can never exist, EVER, in this plane of existence due to the simple fact that duality will always exist here. ALWAYS... ok...
Utopia (/juːˈtoʊpiə/) is an ideal community or society possessing a perfect socio-politico-legal system.
This can never happen... there can never be an ideal society because there is always progression, ideas, change, thoughts, etc. So stop using this fictional hocus-pocus to support the idea that the present system is working and that the reach for a more emotionally developed, humane, and balanced society should be sought after. There will always be struggle, pain, grief, happiness, joy, sorrow, fear, anger, etc. Without these dualities life would be pointless because there would be no need for growth and this universe from my understanding is based on duality... Its built into the fabric of how Nature's system is made. So come up with another excuse to not change... If you've made it this far thank you for reading. May the force be with you!
