i dont think anyone should have the power to legislate morality.

Legislating morality is what every law is based on.

But it is often the case that victimless crimes such as this proposal are either not really immoral, or prosecuting people for them is even more immoral than the act itself.

exactly.
he's already said that he does not believe in the separation of church and state.
are we gonna get to see a christian version of hitler?
with the powers that have been gradually granted to the executive branch by the past and current presidents the office now has the powers to literally do whatever they want without any legal ramifications or recourse.

Separation of Church and State is error. Our morality, virtue comes from
from God.

This nation's founders desired everyone practice what they believed without persecution not the elimination of faith.

Remember Scripture, one Lord, one faith, one baptism. Non-Catholic
Christian sects and non-Christian religions are all man-made. God has
one plan, it fits Scripture.

again, we will have to agree to disagree.
i think it's a reasonable safegaurd to protect the populous from theocracies.
though i respect your beliefs, my beliefs are different then yours.
what if i was the president or a candidate for the position and i decided that because i think it's virtuous eating pork should be illegal?
or that you should be required to fast for 30-31 days a year?
would you still hold that position?
i can truthfully say that if there was an candidate that shared my exact same beliefs and that was the basis for his platform i wouldn't vote for him.
like i said before, i think religion should be something that's practiced with the it's main focus being on the internal.
it should be about changing yourself first.
purifying yourself, then buy changing yourself then you can affect change in the larger world.
how is it "the elimination faith" buy choosing to keep religion and governance separate?
as far as the man made religion comment, the same can be said about the catholic faith but this is not the place and time for that because this tread is about santorums stand on outlawing porn.
i don't watch porn, but i feel like if you wanna watch some then have at it.
rub til you no longer have finger prints.
as long as i dont have to see you and kids aren't involved then get to it.

p.s. while reading the bible as a youth i read that jesus, according to his words, was sent to reform judaism.
that means he didn't start a new religion, he came to usher the jews back to the right path because they had strayed so far. but like i said u2u me and we can talk/debate whatever.

And given that morals vary depending on country/location, the above statement is complete and utter nonsense. Morality is imposed by society, and NOT god.

This nation's founders desired everyone practice what they believed without persecution not the elimination of faith.

It says "freedom FROM religion". In essence, you can believe whatever you want and the government can't force you to believe something...at the same time, it also can't enforce religious "laws" and "rules" as the US isn't a THEOCRACY.

Speaking of founders, you might wanna read up on history...they WEREN'T CATHOLIC!!! Hell, most of them were deists and not even "proper" Christians

Remember Scripture, one Lord, one faith, one baptism. Non-Catholic
Christian sects and non-Christian religions are all man-made. God has

I'm sure Muslims and all the other Christian sects might think the same way about your sect

And just like them, you have ZERO objective evidence to back up your claims. You're essentially preaching

Advise, don't be one them...

message to Maria/Divine Mercy

Even The Warning will not convert all Non-believers

Sunday, March 25th, 2012 @ 03:30 pm

My dearly beloved daughter today I urge all of My followers to devote their time to pray for those who do not believe in Me, Jesus Christ, or eternal salvation.

These souls are close to My heart and are the ones who need to be converted so that they can be saved first.

Those who are blind cannot see that their life does not end on earth.

Many do not accept that they will exist for eternity.

These souls wound Me deeply and I feel terror as I watch them destroy the life in their souls in this life on earth.

Even The Warning will not convert many of them who proclaim to be atheists.

Their only salvation is through the prayers and suffering of victim souls...

Why do you copy/paste the same preaching in EVERY SINGLE ONE of your threads. You aren't even trying to have a rational discussion, you're simply here to preach

Mr. XYZ,

You have to copy a message from Heaven.

I shared two messages from Heaven, you didn't notice because you
don't bother to read them.

There is no discussion with you, no offense, why don't you find another
topic to reply to, faith and prophecy are things you reject, everyone already knows...

Happy Easter,

colbe

And that means, colbe, that you and those others who routinely 'warn', 'condemn', 'label' and 'laugh out loud' at others, perpetually insisting that yours is the "right" faith, the True faith, the Only faith....

are not observing that desire of our nation's founders....you are persecuting others....by psychologically and emotionally abusing them and implying that you are better, that they are doomed.

To invoke the late, great, George Carlin, how about that guy doing eternity for eating meat on a Friday? Did God call the Pope and say, "well...maybe that was kind of a dumb idea"? Not to mention all of those OT admonitions that seem to be ignored...do I have to trot out that "Letter to Dr. Laura" once again?

Don't get me wrong, I'm not trying to talk you out of your faith and your preferred candidate...hey fill yer boots on both counts. You operate on faith, but your faith is no more of a direct line to the Godhead than anybody else's and to assume it is, well, let's just call it insulting. Don't forget...humility is a blessing, too, eh?

I reject your "prophecy" for sure. Why? Because it's full of hate, and you convince yourself it isn't by using the old "people have a choice" line

Many left Europe to go to America to escape religious prosecution. Now there's colbe and Santorum in the US, and I'm afraid those poor settlers will have to look for a new "free" country...as according to colbe the US should be a theocracy like Iran.

Well colbe, i've answered anything you've posted directed to me but you don't return the favor.
A form letter that's completely off topic, not just of this thread but the discussion we were having, really?
I would never seek to change your religious views or convert you to the faith that i practice so why must you do this to me?
I suggest that you read my first post in this tread.
So back to the topic,i'm assuming you think santorum should be allowed to ban porn?

If Mr. XYZ would be positive in his replies, same old, same old instead, there is no discussion.

Down4W,

It's not a "form letter" but a message from Heaven. No one talks like that
down here (humor).

I'll tell you why, prophecy is a help for a people in a certain period of time.
I pray you consider the Church and begin to read Catholic writing because
prophecy states and Scripture too, the Remnant is Roman Catholic.

I'll say it 10,000 times, you remain a "spiritual baby" without the Eucharist.
Come to believe in the Eucharist and all your objections, misunderstandings about the faith will go away. The Eucharist is the
pinnacle. Revelation from the prophetic, looking to what is ahead, desire the Eucharist and you will make it through.

If our nation would end access to porn, save the purity and innocence of the young God would bless our country again. Right now, "divine grace"
is off the USA.

If the porn industry was to halt all production and burn all pornographic materials, it still wouldn't stop masturbation, birth control, rape, murder, war, starvation, abortion, greed, disease etc.

It would just one check off your god's todo list. An it would be very close to the bottom of the list, priority wise.

Johnny, hi,
You don't believe there is one faith so logically one Church. There is
one divine plan, that's fact. I know, you don't believe that either.

George Carlin, bless him. He didn't have a very good father. George
was baptized Roman Catholic. He died in a Catholic hospital, I pray
he received the Last Rites. He could of....

see you all,

windword,

You include "mortal sin" and the "human condition" together in your list?
This isn't Heaven, The desire should be for Heaven at the end of our life.

Porn is one of those "mortal sins" you listed. One you forgot to mention, (though contraception is an abortifacient), is abortion. Abortion is legalized now for almost forty years, it is the gravest of sins.

God is going to act, no more, He is going to end the abomination of
abortion. Get right with God, pray and repent with true contrition your
mortal sins.

Ending one "evil", porn, would show God, we are turning back to Him.

Not if the "turning away from porn" was forced upon us. He wouldn't be impressed with people being forced to obey a secular law. For your little god theory to really work, people would need to turn from porn, by their free will, before it was made illegal. Don't ya think?
