Legally, how is the national debt my problem?

Disclaimer: This entire opening post may be an example of oversimplification.
The first sentence in this opening post above may be an example of an understatement.

Is there enough currency in circulation for each person to pay off their fair share of the national debt?

Nope.

Is it legal for me to print off more currency and make "counterfiet" money?

Nope.

Sorry, but legally how is the national debt my problem?
How am I supposed to be accountable and/or responsible for something I cannot do anything about?
If I'm mistaken, then what can I do about it?

Thank you in advance for your time and taking the time to share your thoughts on the plausible paradox above.

Fun Facts:

The citizens of Illinois receive less than 75 cents back in federal assistance for every $1 they pay in taxes. Which means 1/4 of all of our taxes are being spent somewhere else. Compared to some states' residents that are getting $6 or $7 dollars back in federal assistance for every $1 they pay in federal taxes.

Another thing, I never agreed to go into this national debt thing. By all rights of natural law, I cannot be held accountable for something I never agreed to.

It's not. It's your governments problem. But because you're a citizen of your country and make a living in that country the Government can legally use funds from it's budget to pay the debt while offsetting the expenses of other programs paid by your taxes.

And if they were so inclined to, the Government could impose various other taxes, fine and penalties to cover the cost of the debt .. you wouldn't be legally obligated to pay the debt, but you'd be legally obligated to pay the levy imposed by the government.

its your problem and mine because the national debt and the dollar are tied together and when the dollar fails because they keep printing more and more money you nor i will be able to buy food or water or fuel for heat... there will be mass panic and riots and more than likely multiple family memebers will be hurt or killed in the beginning and more will starve and freeze later.

Because they are forcing the system and they know what will happen then you can suppose they have a plan of marshall law which will in fact take all mine and yours property and possesions and will legally make them the governments... they will take everything and mass genocide will happen.

Welcome the New World Order.... Thats how it will affect you.

This is the no nonsense answer. Mine was tongue in cheek

Its most definitely not your FAULT.

But it is partially your PROBLEM.

I think paying money back plus interest is why money is failing.

dont know what anyone can do to fix it.

I so want to create a law called "Marshall Law" define it as something besides martial law and make fun of the people that point to it as an evil thing.

Well, as long as you play in their casino, your losses will go to that house.
My advice is to do what I do, QUIT!!
I've retired and now live on a meager retirement, but have a lifetime of many special tools.
I do not bank, I try not to shop, I have cut back on spending and only spend what I must.
Sure I won't be driving a Jag in my forseeable future but hey, I like American...err semi american anyway...
The more you make the more they get of it, just stop!!
Half of nothing is....NOTHING!
I have got what I need, a valid US birth certificate and a small piece of dirt on which to plant my crops.
I have held to my end of the bargain and I am holding them to theirs.
I do enjoy living simply but hey, I cook.

No, it's not exactly your "problem," it's just that your life, and the lives of your descendents, will be affected. These things often take awhile to play out, but the result will be more inflation without corrssponding wage increases, which means your standard of living will go down. If you already "have money," you will see the real worth of your bank account go down. Your local governments will not have sufficient funds to fix the potholes, so the infrastructure will suffer. The real cost of goods and services will go up, so maybe you won't be able to afford that trip you could have afforded a few years ago.

Further, the assumption you have about the course of your life will alter. You won't be able to retire as early nor get as good a pension as you would have. You are living in an unsustainable fashion. In Greece, for example, a child could collect his parent's pension as long as she did not marry. The retirement age in some European countries was as low as the fifties with long vacations and tons of benefits. There's a reason Greece nearly defaulted and probably will yet. The EU, if you read what I do, is close to imploding.

On the whole, none of these issues are good for the world. It means a slowing of scientific progress, which I believe is our only hope for salvation. We really don't want another Dark Ages (They really were not, but that's another story). So, yeah, in one sense you are still alive and as long as you have shelter, food, and warmth, you can say, what the hey? But on the other hand, your life might get a bit grimmer than it is today if all these bad things play out like lots of people think they will.

if you voted, then you are responsible since technically, in a democracy, you are giving your power to someone else to act on your behalf.

but since america stopped being a democracy a long time ago, if you didn't vote, your concious is clear.

I have student loans that aren't paid off yet... Remember when hitler had his slaves build a castle and 1/3 of them died... I wonder what we will build and for who while we die....

I'm lucky to have a job in my field of study, though I get paid as if I work at inn n out. So I can't really afford to pay it back yet... Was told I'd be making 60 grand by the time i was 20... I'm 30 and make half that.

I'm afraid that those of us in dept will be subject to some sort of repayment plan by our new masters.

Btw, our old masters. Or maybe the same all,along... Have been shipping our jobs oversees, so now our techs come from India ( we are all human, I love you, but still) or rather remote in from India, and our money goes to them.... To do what, do they also do the tech support for our military? Why the hell would a server in India need to be in contact with our drones? Our military is outsourcing to save a few bucks?

Legally it is everyones problem because everyone is required to pay taxes when they blow money which adds to the debt they raise your taxes.

Failure to pay those taxes just ask Willie Nelson and Wesley Snipes what happens.

Not that I am hating on Willy or Wesley but, they have already made more than you ever will in your lifetime.
They just got a bit greedy is all.
Chances are neither of us will ever walk "the" red carpet, nor dine with the hollywood elite.
The least they could have done was be a bit more accountable for their excess.

the labor of the citizens serves as collateral for the national debt. if you have a social security number, it's your problem.

Actually we all have a responsibility here....It is not a legal responsibility it is a responsibility to the human race.....the responsibility is yours and yours alone.....it is not to be owned.

Stop paying your taxes.....tell the governments of the world we the human race has decided to no longer be the property of any country. Tell them you are born of the planet earth.....the planet earth has no borders....i was born a free citizen of the world....and i owe the governments nothing.

Stop allowing yourself to be brainwashed....stop trying to be the good citizen....the LAW ABIDING citizen that will pay our taxes so that your government can go start yet another war on your behalf's....Stop being fooled into thinking anyone has the right to charge you for living on a piece of earth which you were born unto.

Legally it is your responsibility to defend your right as a free human being to be able to live free upon this planet.

Your home is not the country you were born into....your home is the planet you were born on.....time to stop believing they own you....time to stand up and be free....time to remove the shackles of lies.....time to learn we are a global community...and this community needs everyones help to survive....stop the lies....

This country (The United States of America) was founded as a constitutional republic, I am sorry your public education lied to you (I say this because I was taught this too, by said public school system). As for voting, I did vote for president, but my candidate was never mentioned in the news. I actually researched all the ones I never heard of and voted, like I should, for the candidate that best matches what I think our Government should be led like. As for all other offices, I have not voted on any representatives over in the DC area.

It can't stop being what it never was.

The cake is a lie, but I digress.

It’s only your problem if you have a job and pay your taxes. If you refuse to pay your taxes in this country, you go to jail.
I’m sure Wesley Snipes is asking himself that same question.

We'll actually you did agree according to the fact the congress is representing the US people and are voting into their function.
Which basically means that the US citizens are agreeing with everything that happens if you like it or not that is the foundation on which an democratic society is build on.
