Here is a heart warming tale from the dreaded Daily Mail.
It is a tragedy as well,so be prepared.

A family in South Africa rescued a baby giraffe and it became a friend for life.
She would come into the house for food and to play with the dogs.

Imagine what Grandma is saying in this pic.
I could not repeat what my Grandma would be saying here.

But cool or what-A pet giraffe..

More pics here:
www.dailymail.co.uk...

Just look at the pictures.
How cool is that?

Although it ends badly, that creature had a wonderful life I think.

Hey thanks Asala,
I'm happy to see this thread has cheered a few folks up.
It would be great if more people treated our animal friends with such kindness.

Thanks for moving the thread(and the you know what) as well aslala.

Good to make you have some hope!

Have you folks heard about Jessica the Hippo or Christian the Lion?
If not,you will love it,they have had similar human families.

May I present you with two youtube vids.
First,Jessica the hippo.
This is only part one,the other two are on YT.

A dangerous animal,at one with her human family, yet also happy with her own kind.
Awesome.

Now here is my favorite-This is Christian the lion who was released into the wild after being looked after by some dudes who bought him from Harrods(!)as a kitten Lion.
No joke.

A year after they sent him off in the wild of Africa to live free, they went to visit him.
Watch what happened.

Possibly the only video on the internet with mullets in that makes me cry,but not about the mullets.
And his wife is a wild lioness, who excepts the mullet boys because Christian is cool with them.
She should eat them, but no,she is cool, and they stroke her head!
Beyond awesome IMO.
Happy viewing animal lovers!

Make it a priority when you get a good net connection,
These vids will touch your heart and soul when you see them.

Massive regards from Wales.

If anyone sees these videos and gets a good feeling,or is inspired to act in some way to help or be friends with animals ,then my work here has been worthwhile.

Our very future existence as a species may rely upon our ability to communicate with our animal friends I think,.
I am not joking.
