Wow the negativity and doomsdayers on this sight really shock me, for those of you that believe in most of this are you generally happy in your life...? Do you find beauty in everyday things...? Do you even have a girlfriend or a date...?

Today George Ure @Urbansurvival.com has an e-mail from Patrick Geryl posted. Patrick's e-mail points to a possible correlation to planetary alignments and solar flares. It is worth consideration. All the variables on the table are interesting. If I had to place my bet on three things it would be solar flares leading to a power grid failure followed by social chaos and finally a nuclear accident of great proportion as we are unable to cool the 104 nuclear power plants in America. The other possibility sans the solar flares would be war breaking out between Israel/USA and Iran, causing fuel and food to skyrocket to the point of more social unrest and the finality being the use of nuclear weapons on the war front. Either way you go it doesn't seem as though there will be an epiphany any time soon by the powers that be for the possibility of things to get any better. Humans have not proven themselves capable of coming to terms with each other and until we do our extinction is all but guaranteed sooner or later.

Life as we know it will end as such, in order of likelihood:

1 - Solar Flares / Sun Related

2 - World War III

3 - Other: The barrage of "I told you nothing would happen" threads that will be hitting ATS on the 21st.

1)NWO -- global governance -- and specifically I believe occupy, government, and big business will frog march us there
2)WW3
3)pandemic/virus.

unlikely are:
solar flares, real aliens of any sort here on earth or intervention from a distance, 4th/5th dimension thing is ridiculous (there is no proof of any of it, I like to apply logic rather than take irrational leaps of faith). Yellowstone, with a chance of 1 in quadrillions or more unlikely. If it hasn't happened in the past 1,000 years of human history, chances are it won't happen (this statement does not cover pollution or nuclear holocaust or technology related mishaps, there are plenty of firsts recently regarding that sort of stuff).

The singularity will happen, and happen soon, people will merely change into a new species as they are gradually more integrated with technology and tailorable biology.

Thanks for all your votes so far. We'll soon get to the bottom of this (regardless of your vote) and get an overall opinion on what ATS really thinks!

Here are my top 3 if something were to happen:

Nuclear/Atomic Accident

Alien Intervention

There are a few funny scenarios which just wont bring an end to the World or a doomsday scenario but the 3 i've selected i reckon the most likely to happen based on events over the last few years!! If i could choose 4 i would have added a Tsunami or Earthquake event but we have had loads of those over recent years so i've gone with Nuclear event but i'm hoping the Alien Intervention will prevent a very major catastrophy involving this event!!

Also there could well be an Economic collapse but it wont cause a doomsday scenario!
