The end days are looming, just over 9 months and counting. Hopefully this thread will show us ATS's most likely scenario for December 21st 2012.

After 1 week (22nd March) I shall tally up everybody's votes and post the results. Unfortunately we don't have the ability to create polls so I will work it out manually.

why? because we all have nothing better to do with our lives but find ways to bring about excitement to the mundane

It's all falling together in a sense.

1. Solar flares- Very high activity cycle for the next few months. Would create astounding choas. Could you imagine waking up in say New York are L.A. one day with no phones, power,are transpotation?

2. Global Economic Collapse. The ponzi scheme has got to end some day.

3. Creator comes back, ( aliens, God,Budda, Allah, your choice.) Sees the horrible mess we have made. Gives us the big FAIL. hits the reset to try a different creature.

Many people believe with a "change in the world" positively or negative
and some people don't believe but may have a hope for a "change"

last option: Nothing will happen.

What will happen though its that there would be a great deception or disappointment of the realisation that actually the world is f***ked and we cannot do anything about it. People then will accept even more that life is "just like that"

The idea of 2012 has been extremely promoted and it should be question, why so much about it? Its because they want to create that sense of hope in us and then get disappointment to get into a sheepishly life a lot easier...
I think a Brave New World would be more enforced...

I don't believe in it but I am sometimes one of hope with a dreamy hope. You would not believe though how many people have put their hope for and what they have done to "prepare" themselves.

Come on people, you all would be crying like babies if anything bad happened. Stop hoping for the end of humanity, it's a little weird. If your life is that boring go skydiving or something.

We shop, we spend, we consume, we are easily manipulated. We have all been there.

Other - The Awakening

1: Nothing
2: Absolutely Nothing
3: Freaking big pile'o'nothing nothing

I shall get up on the morning of the 21st Dec 2012 (which I see is a Friday) and probably get cracking on some last minute Christmas shopping before coming home to kick back with a few beers and spend the night avoiding the big "Make Planet Go BOOM Now" button on my laptop. We should be ok

1) Nothing - Just another regular day.

2) Other - While people are last minute Christmas shopping, they will see the reports on the various news channels regarding the mass suicides of the December 21, 2012 doomsday believers.

3) Solar flares/sun related - but nothing of any real significance. We still won't see any auroras in Washington State...and even if we could it would be overcast and raining so we wouldn't be able to see them anyway.

1. Nothing - because that's usually the outcome of all doomsday predictions

2. World War 3 - I think it's inevitable

3. Nuclear/Atomic Accident - outcome of WW3
