We have all been there one time or another.Someone has posted something
that made us angry. We can even say to ourselves,I can post how I really feel,
rant away on that keyboard. That person who ticked me off will see my reply
before the mods' find it.
What really happens is the mods' will probably read that ranting post first! Your
intended 'victim' will probably never even see it.When we get that angry, while on
this board,we need to walk away from our computers.
When we have cooled down, then we can think before we post. When we react
with our emotions,we seem to post poorly. This results in members' getting in
trouble with staff, getting penalties or even banned.

If you let someone remotely inflict an emotionally visceral response from you getting up from your computer solves nothing. You might as well just stop reading forums or pick a new hobby.

If you can't handle opinions you can't handle yourself.

True story. I talked to a mod on basically this after a warning. His advice, do the rant, but don't hit submit.

It's therapeutic, kind of like writing the long scathing letter (remember those?) then shredding or tossing it.

#14. Do not argue with a troll — it means that they win.

I have been on this board for nearly three years.I have seen
too many friends get banned for making rash posts.Another
member was my inspiration for this rant.
I do walk away from some threads because I won't allow myself
to get suckered in to heated discussions. If you feel that is a poor
response from me,guess what? I don't really care what you think.

Right on.
I for one am tired of finding a good thread to read and after a few pages is mindless arguing that stems from an egotistical point, name calling and thread derailing.

I know right? Don't you hate it when they grow legs and walk?

I've been here long enough to know a thread worth reading from one that's not just by the title. That, and if I'm having a no-patience type of day I'll just go straight to my friends list and start randomly clicking on them to see what they're up to.

Saves me the trouble of having to wade through the BS.

A person doesn't get banned from a website, just a profile. Make a new one.

I already know that! I know of one member who has been
banned 3 times and he is back again.
I would just hate to have to start all over again. If I get banned,
I will probably not come back.If I were to come back it would
prove that I am addicted.

I don't know about you but the only reason I'd be at all upset about it is because I can't remember how I uploaded my profile picture
