An interesting picture is developing with SWIFT cutting off ties with Iran, US and UK releasing oil reserves and soon to have three carriers and a large amphibious war ship off the coast or Iran.

I still think we are trying to provoke Iran to fire the first shot, rather than the US striking first.

Here is what the naval picture in the Arabian Sea looked like most recently, where courtesy of Stratfor we can see that not only is CVN-65 full steam ahead to its final date with history somewhere off the shores of Iran, but that LHD8 Makin Island crossed the Straits of Hormuz recently. Just because.

Virtually the entire non-parked naval fleet will be in the Arabian Sea and Persian Gulf in the next 4-6 days, where 3 aircraft carriers and one big-deck amphibious warfare ship are just waiting for the order.

Update: as we hit print, we see headlines that the UK will cooperate with the US on bilateral agreement to release oil stocks. Crude down big on the news, which is merely an advance move ahead of almost inevitable war with Iran, simply to make the spike more palatable.

From the AP:

The SWIFT global financial transaction service said Thursday that it was cutting ties with Iranian banks that are subject to European Union sanctions aimed at discouraging the country from developing nuclear weapons.

The action effectively enforces EU sanction because the world's financial transactions are impossible without using SWIFT, and it will go a long way toward isolating Iran financially.

And then add to the fact that Israeli Parliment agreed to an attack on Iran and we have a major major Trifecta in the making. Maybe this war has to do with the fact that CME Clearing Europe has vacated its registration as a derivatives clearing organization, less than a week before the March 19th Greek debt auction, after which CDS payouts will be required. What this means is that this group doesn't want to be a clearing house for the CDS's because they kow that Greece has at least 1.5 Trillion if not more in hidden CDS and not the 3.8 billion that is noted. And when that date comes and they have to attempt to pay then we will see a cascade of organizations that don't have the money and such. So it may be the big reason they are wanting this war kicked off real soon.

Because if a major war is happening it's real easy to blame the financial calamity on Iran and also the sacrifices for the troops on Iran.

So what year was this deployment scheduled in then?

Iran has been in the US crosshairs ever since the Islamic revolution in 1979...

that's the only reason iran hasn't been attacked yet.

if they close down the straight of horuz and harass oil tankers, gas in america will jump to $6-7 a gallon, and there goes obama's second term.

You must realize that AIPAC sponsors does who support their cause[striking Iran]., if Obama doesn't support them, the AIPACS money goes to Romney [or worse]..Cause if you don´t have the support of that lobby during elections, you might as well quit today...These sort of things were actually discussed during the AIPAC summit and the netanyahu visit to DC...
Anywayz whould be a neat title of a movie `The Enterprise War`...
Come and think about it, The Russians actually sold all their old aircraft carriers to China or India, they also used one old nuclear submarine as an energy plant, i think you could support a small town with energy from such a carrier..

I wonder if CNN is watching this thread to get some ideas to spin in their daily stories. You know to try to discredit us before it even happens.

As CALGARIAN points out above, one of the carriers is scheduled for decommissioning. Two birds with one stone, perhaps? The "trigger event" they want and also save on decommissioning costs at the same time?

I was thinking the same thing. Save on decommissioning a nuclear vessel and false flag perhaps. Two birds with one stone. I hate to think that way but History is filled with false flag ops so it is possible.

All it takes is a couple missiles to get through the defenses. Silkworm missiles are no joke.

Any words on the Enterprise? Sure is alot of distraction going on in the news. North Korea, Zimmerman, presidency, lots of gun activity in the news also.
