Have you seen the seven videos yet?

No.

So until we do, we should take what they say with a grain of salt.

The video released does not allay the fact that it looks just like birds/bugs (birds for me) flying in front of the camera.

If you like I can post up a heap of bug and bird examples for you to compare with if you like.

It's not a very convincing bird or bug to me. For one it would be a lot more visible in normal playback and the bird/bug argument only works with still images, not a whole video with a series of still images clearly showing it multiple times. Sometimes a bird/bug can be in just the right position to look like a saucer or something, once again these are examples of single photos. Post all you want, show me a video like this where a bird/bug looks like a metallic object streaking along too fast to see with normal playback.

There is also the entire article stating things about it radiating heat and how a lot of people have examined the videos, if you want to disprove that. I haven't done any research to its authenticity, but given it's all over the web I'm sure someone will find out sooner or later and post it here, maybe.

That's an opinion, not a fact. Just what kind of skeptic are you supposed to be?

With all due respect, Chadwickus, when the article states "Scientists have estimated the speed, depending on the size of the object, to be at least 4000 - 6000 mph." that would have to be one seriously fast 'bug'.

I have found Leslie Kean to be a truthful and balanced observer in other cases, so have no reason to believe she is lying about the other videos, but then thats one of the rules of de-bunking, isnt it- 'everybody is lying, no-one (apart from a de-bunker) is telling the truth'.

Sorry but.....a bug!!!?? A #ing BUG!!!!????

I dunno what kind of bugs you guys have where you live, but that looks nothing like a bug to me lmfao!!

You can see the perspective that sometimes its far away from the camera and other times its closer, certainly doesnt look like a bug flying about a meter from the lens. A bugs flight path would be to random and generally all over the place. And as for a bird, how many round metal birds with no wings do you see every day

Youve clearly came to the conclusion of what it is before watching the video, watch it again.

This is no bug.You can clearly see in some of the frames that this thing is at quite a distance from the camera. Now lets´s hope the Chilean military and government keep on this. This footage is to good to waste.I wouldn´t want these photos, and videos to be forgotten in a few days along with all the hoax videos on Youtube.

Definately one of the more harder to explain UFO videos.

ATS member RUSSO made a thread covering this topic but it was closed because this thread already existed but I want to link his thread because of the still pictures he provided of the UFO in question.

Fast indeed.

I did say "until we see the other videos"

Here's some birds and bugs in the meantime:

I'm a believer...although I lean to some form of the IDH. But Chadwickus, myself, and others just need more than one article that "states" there are 7 videos before we can get very excited. I'm sure we've ALL seen cases that sounded really good initially only to find out later that the early reports weren't totally as advertised.

I think Leslie Kean is one the better researchers, too. Much better than a Friedman or Maccabee for example. And I'm keeping an open mind on this one.

But so far, we have one lone article and no evidence that 7 videos exist...and we have seen some--at first glance--pretty impressive "bug" videos before that have shared a lot of the same characteristics that we see in the linked vid.

Time might tell, but the "smart money" for the time being would be to hold your own counsel until more is revealed. Peaceness.

I haven't seen any of the other videos. Just assuming that they exist and have been analyzed as described. But even if the other six videos were presented along with this one, there would still be the chance they are all part of a hoax by Leslie Kean and/or the Chilean authorities. I mean if they are willing to say that there are six other videos, but there really aren't, what would prevent them from creating six other videos to back up their false claim? Certainly, nothing can be known for sure. Everything in our experience must be taken with a grain of salt.

OMG, hahahah...I totally overlooked that statement
I just woke up and had my very first sip of coffee. After a lack of sleep and not having that coffee yet, it was easier for me to look at pictures than read and assume someone was posting anomalies in the fields!

Thank you for pointing me in the right direction Hellas

For the benefit of those members who cannot bring themselves to read an entire article, here is an excerpt that gives some pertinent details:

CEFAA was established in 1997, within the Department of Civil Aeronautics, the equivalent of our FAA. Its creation was sparked when aeronautic specialists and others reported multiple sightings of anomalous lights near Aeropuerto Chacalluta -- an airport in Northern Chile -- which were then reported in the press.

Gen. Ricardo Bermúdez, formerly chief commander of the air force's 3rd Air Brigade (southern area) and an air attaché in London, was one of CEFAA's founders, and he currently directs the agency with a full-time staff of three. "Our mission is to study cases of unidentified aerial phenomena for which there is adequate data, to determine any possible risk to air operations," says Bermúdez. "Since this is a worldwide phenomenon, it should be subjected to rigorous scientific analysis so we can come to viable conclusions."

CEFAA officials collected seven videos of the El Bosque UFO taken from different vantage points. Bermúdez commissioned scientists from many disciplines, aeronautical experts, and air force and army photogrametric technicians to subject the videos to intense scrutiny. They all came to the same conclusions. Each video included three different, mainly horizontal loops flown by the UFO within seconds of each other. The object made elliptical passes either near or around each of three sets of performing jets. It flew past the Halcones, F5s and F16s at speeds so fast it was not noticed by the pilots or anyone on the ground below.

Well hopefully they turn up eventually so we can judge for ourselves.

I'm not comfortable with being told there is such and such and not getting to see it.

well that is interesting.

Im always quite skeptical about video or photographic evidence of ufo's but this one is pretty nuts. That is blatantly not a bug, the images in that other thread show that. really good find!

come on ats skeptics, lets hear it!

be interesting to see where this one goes!

More pics on this post:
www.abovetopsecret.com...

Quite nice evidence of a Rex Heflin type flat disk flying machine.
Definitely not a triangle with the characteristic snake eyes orbs.

Jets keep their distance or run the risk of being torn apart by the
vibrations propelling the ship. UFO will go wherever it wants to.
