Man accused of attacking mom in Phoenix hospital

Alex Guy Gillis Thrasher, 25, admitted to police that wanted to kill his mother, Leslie Ann Marie Clark, because she was mean, called him names and did not contribute to society, police reports said.

My goodness! This guy would have tried to kill me a long time ago!

One nurse told investigators that Thrasher was smiling after the incident and that she heard him say, "That was fun." Investigators said Thrasher later described the experience of attempting to kill his mother as "a trip."

Maybe his mom pushed too many buttons. People can only take so much.
But, if she was in the hospital then he should have some rest.

I think you've hit it on the head. After many years of studying child/spouse/parent abuse, it's becoming clear to researchers that there's a psychological element that's every bit as important as the physical. As you say, "people can only take so much."

Not that I condone murder--as a rule--but I can certainly understand it sometimes....
